Awesome Vid! Dave I am a premium subscriber and I was wondering is it possible to make a request? Could you please please PLEASE do a video on the BMW s1000R DDC suspension? There is only one adjustment available and it’s preload. There are sag targets set by BMW and they seem almost impossible to hit. Sometimes I hit them but the bike feels terrible. Other times I’m way off but the bike feels almost perfect. When I say perfect I mean there is still some serious issues 😬

We have several DDC videos but will work on sag number exclusively next time

Dave Moss Tuning ah yes I’ve seen them ALL but... there is only one for the S1000R and that only physical point of adjustment is a preload adjuster front and rear. No electronic spanners. This can throw up some crazy measurements. I’d really love to see your take on this. A good 70% of forum chatter on the subject seems to be confusion and disappointment . I’d really love to point them your way for direction on this model 🙏🏻 as always thank you for taking the time to reply and make such informative content.

It’s nice Dave moss teaching body position too.. 😛... my z900 rear suspension is locked up so badly.. I tried to free up the locknut with chisel and hammer .. I think I need a heavy hammer now ..🤪... yesterday was going through the front rebound damping settings and tried playing with it.. the difference was so less between 0 damping and highest point .. maybe it’s Becuse I have been checking it too much...

There is a special adjuster spanner for that. Even your owners manual, will show you how to adjust everything. You can read, (and understand),right?

Al yes I did.. the kawasaki spanner T=3.2 R37 is hard to come by, have tried doing it with a different spanner .. it doesnot work.. that’s why went for the chisel and hammer obviously 🙄.

Al yes a blunt chisel 😅..I did use some wd-40.. from where I live, there are hardly any professional suspension shops.. I mostly do the work myself.. anyways if nothing works will remove the suspension out and fix it 🤪..

for kawis(z800/900/1000) rear shock the preload collar yes they do get stuck more often some occasions the last person tighten them more than required... on the tool used a longer pipe(leverage) and loosened it. for fork rebound, they work at last 1.25 turns from closed and yes change is small it works... >one use thicker fork oil 10W then try 20W to get a better result or >to get them re-shimmed/re-valved from a specialist... it's my view after trying on a few motorcycles. thanks to videos from Dave Moss/Williams videos. :)

Upgrade my gen 3 sv650s suspension or upgrade to a bike with adjustable suspension? Decisions decisions.
