I have to call Schindler all the time for elevator repairs and I got them saved in my phone as Schwindlers lift. The bills are always $900-3000 even when they come press a reset button and leave. We also pay a service contract of $2k/month but it covers pretty much nothing.

@@rustyshakleford5230 Haha Schwindler, that joke is old but gold. They sure are everything else but cheap. From what I've noticed, Schindlers maintenance is different in every country. They do a very good job here in Switzerland but in Germany hings already look a bit different, there are lots of lifts that are strange mixes of components over there.

Different-sounding MX-GC chime, wow! I have heard plenty of Schindler chimes where I live here and they sound Absolutely Epic from the 1st Miconic controller E to the B, V, TX and so on. I'm not sure if you have rode a Schindler Miconic B lift, but it has ridiculously quick acceleration and near-instant deceleration and levelling that I experienced and was actually shocked by it haha compared to other Miconic controllers. Also, I too have been to some Schindler motor rooms and a very cool video for me to see a European MX-GC motor room with "accordion" 3300? motors and M-Line? like fixtures it looks like. Just a few days ago, I was exploring a 4m/s Schindler Miconic MX-GC motor room too and it was super cool. Keep up the awesome work and Thank you Switzerland for one of the best lift brands out there, amazing lifts. 👍🙂

Many thanks for your comment! Here in Switzerland we usually have this chime on the MX-GC / on all Eurolifts since they use this controller. I have seen all common Miconic controllers by now. MX-GC, TX-GC, SX, LX, BX, Mic B, Mic E, Mic V and also the newer CO-MX and the brand new SC1. There are a few more but they are very rare. The accel/decel curve of the Mic B is actually dependant on the drive used. The Mic B came either with a normal pole-changer motor (2 speed), with Dynatron S and with Dynatron 2. Dyn S is a phase-fired thyristor drive and makes really epic sounds and the accel/decel is pretty normal. Dynatron 2 is older technology and works with an eddy current brake to stop the lift. The motor speed cannot be regulated, there are 3 fixed speeds. Dyn 2 was originally developed by Swiss company Schlieren in the 1950s and it was the first ever drive system that levelled intelligently. Later on Schindler bought Schlieren and they acquired the Schlieren knowledge. Yes, back in the mid 2000s Schindler started to experiment with their accordion machines which go by the name SGB142. They installed them on many mods, mostly with BX controller (really slow controller, I don't like...). Other than that, Schindler installed MX-GC mods with just a normal geared winch (W163 / W200 / W250) or with a gearless PMS400 machine. The fixtures on these lifts are called FI MXB, they're the same as on the Eurolifts. All info and technical data on these lift here is in the description btw. 4m/s MX-GC? That can't be, the MX-GC only goes up to 2.5m/s. It would have to be the newer version, the CO-MX (looks like MX-Gc but does not have the slot-in PCB sticking out) or it actually is a TX-GC.

Wow, you have quite the knowledge for the lifts there! And I see….I think our Miconic B lifts here are using Dynatron S drives and it makes the awesome “wooOOO” sound when it accelerates and it most of them goes at 1.8m/s, similar sound to a Miconic E lift with S-Series fixtures, I think, that I heard from a visit to Berlin, Germany. Yes, you heard that right. 4m/s Miconic MX~GC without the slot-in cards and If only I could show you some pictures of the Schindler motor rooms I visited to like example: kzbin.infoXKU9QI_pVkc?feature=share and others so maybe, Maybe you could enlighten me some history of Schindler & “Schlieren”, which I just only heard of, and both of us share knowledges each other. Who knows hey? :)

@@tky6324 That is indeed interesting. The fastest Dyn S I came across was only 1.6m/s, I have never found a 1.75m/s model, which is the fastest speed they offer. I have seen 1.75m/s Dynatron 2 though. There are some videos of the on my channel. Ok, so the 4m/s install is a CO-MX then, the successor. This would also mean that is was installed after ~2012 because that was when the change happened. And nowadays there's the SC1 which is the allround controller for everything from cheap 3300 to High-rise 7000. The motor room in this video looks pretty interesting. Controllers look like TX (not TX-GC) but I wonder why they were installed for rather slow geared machines. I can explain to you how exactly Schlieren and Schindler came top be the way it is now and how the transfer of knowledge happened, but that is an immense amount of information. I suggest you hit me up on the email address on my channel about page, I'd say we can look from there on.

I will not deny that I have looked at videos of elevators before so I'm not insanely surprised by getting this in my recommended, but that was on another device. On another account. On another wifi connection. In another state. it's not like I don't enjoy this (I do) but it's still DEEPLY confusing that this would happen.

That indeed sounds really strange. But in the end it is what Google (and therefore also KZbin, because KZbin is Google) does: Fingerprint and track people. And they're damn good at it.

Der Aufzug mit den 4 Riemen hat keine Gewichtsausgleichketten, der mit den 3 Riemen hat Gewichtsausgleichsketten. Wurden die Ketten da vergessen?
@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon Жыл бұрын

@TheLiftDragon
@TheLiftDragon Жыл бұрын

I don't find them that bad to be honest. Conventional ropes and a gearless drive would be better but it's more important that these lifts have proper MX-GC controllers and not the slow BX ones.

It's not only Schindler doing this, I see it with Otis as well. Or Kone LCE controller that locks after a set amount of trips and only Kone can unlock it again, forcing you to have their maintenance contract.
