Hello Nate! Good video. The price is too high and we don't live in the area, but if we did... #1) As both our parents have 0wssed and we don't have children, that apt is a waste of space - as an apt that is. We'd take the entire space and turn it into a Gym!! #2) In the Living Room we'd put a gas fireplace, not an electric one, in that area under the TV. I think I'd use the space on each side to hang family pictures up and down the wall. #3) In the Master Bathroom I'd put in a Handicapped tub/shower combo in place of the tile shower. (By the way, the floorplan shows a different set-up than the one you showed us. Might go with it instead of my changes, except I'd still put in a handicapped tub.). I'd also remove that wall behind the bathroom door and move the commode a little to give more room on Each the side of the commode. I also think I'd change the door to a pocket door, that one opening back into the commode would cause problems I'm afraid, but I don't want that wall there! I'd also remove one of the sinks as there isn't enough counter space with two sinks! Good size Master Closet and Bedroom though. #4) In the Kitchen I didn't see a microwave, so one would have to be put on the counter somewhere. The island is too big; there's no way I could get around it easily using either my walker or my wheelchair! So put one about half that size in there. Don't need chairs around the island when the kitchen table is right there. Don't need a dishwasher either, so remove it and put more cabinets or drawers in it's place. Would want a gas cook stove too. I like that China Cabinet in the dining room, but I have my Grandma's China Cabinet to go there - a perfect place for one! We'd build a deck/porch outside that glass door, with a wood-burning fireplace; an enclosed deck/porch, so we could sit out there and cook, eat or whatever, without the bugs driving us crazy in the summer and without being cold in the winter! #5) As we haven't had overnight visitors in over 20 years, I would use the Guest Bedrooms and make them into my Library Music Studio Office Rooms, and put in a small sitting area in the Library with a small gas fireplace or stove. I'd also need to separate the Music Studio part into it's own room so it could be soundproofed. So 3/4 of the 2 rooms would be my Library Office and the rest my Music Studio. #6) As we don't have guest rooms we don't need a full guest bathroom. So I'd turn that guest bathroom into a half bath at the front and where the tub/shower is, I'd put in the washer and dryer with a pocket door between them and the half bath. #7) Then in the Utility Room where the washer and dryer are I'd put a freezer, a upright one I think. At the back door we'd build a garage, of course, and a storage unit with a big Pantry in it and put a chest freezer in there. #8) We'd have porches all around the house to the garage, some enclosed and some just covered. Carpets in the Living Room and Bedroom and Library sitting area only. As I said, we don't live in the area and we have no plans to move there, so this is just a pipe dream! But still it was fun deciding what I'd change if we did buy it! I don't think a person would find a "perfect" home unless they built it themselves - even then I think you'd have to build a home several times before you'd get it "perfect" even for yourself! Unless doing this helps, and it sure might do just that! I sure get lots of ideas watching these and writing down the changes I'd make! Anyway, Nate, as I said, good video. Beautiful floor plan. I'd of course have it set on a basement to have a place for a freezer. The fact there is no pantry didn't bother me, but was surprised there wasn't a linen closet at the laundry room end of the home, but that's an easy fix.... That little efficiency style apartment I'll call lol would be excellent for a College Student as well for when they come home during break.

I like this home but I could make both kitchens more efficient with more storage also stove and dishwasher to the apartment and a small island. Perhaps a small pantry in main kitchen. A corner stove like that leaves unused space in the wall behind it unless that is where the furnace is located. If so, how would you get to it for repairs etc? Also, all windows must be able to open.

I love this. Love the in-law suit but I would like to have a 2-bedroom in-lawsuit. If they want one of their grandchildren to stay the night they would have space between them. So I would love to add that. But not upstairs. I am disabled and so is my mother-in-law. They can't do stairs either.

I do like this in-law suite but I’d have to figure out how to attach a garage. Though I feel the master bedroom should have been a little bigger along with including a big tub. The kitchen is missing a pantry in my opinion. Really nice though also I’d add a pot filler over the stove. Throughout the house I’d add shelving and different shelving. I dislike the pocket in the living room since it limits how big of a tv you can have (we have a 85”). Last thing I love those big tall open windows in the dinning room section natural lighting is amazing and makes the place feel more homey.

Love this home but I would have to have a bathtub in the master bathroom!!! Not bad for the price; get rid of the wire racks and I didn’t see a pantry…. I could do without the pantry but need a gas stove and fireplace and soaking tub…. Square the sinks in the bathroom and extend the guest bathroom to two bowls! Love the in-law suite too! Might even make it a “she” suite.

With the exception I already stated I really like this home, would have been great when My Mom was still alive, we were looking for a home that we could buy together and she could move into and have her own area and that mini suite is perfect as shown especially since she really didn't cook and would have eaten her meal's mainly with me. I would delete the entertainment center as is and add a traditional style fireplace in it's place and replace wire racks with solid shelves and see where a linen closet or set of cabinets could be put, I'm thinking that laundry room. Add cabinets above the washer and dryer. That solid flooring in the dining and kitchen is nice and I would have I throughout the living room and hallway areas too. Beautiful home
