On your next catfish adventure, you should try marinating some boneless chicken breast chunks (dried off) in cherry jello overnight. For added scent, you can use some garlic powder. Also...a lot of old school fishermen will confide in the Jumbo Jet Puffed Marshmallows.

The biggest freshwater drum I’ve seen in person was 42lb below watts bar dam here in TN. that particular section of the river is stacked with them for some reason. We once had a 72 fish day with 53 being drum averaging 9-10lb and the biggest being 17.

That's just a good old-fashioned nice day right there my friend. Love it. And don't take no grief on the grippers. In the storage bin where it belongs 😂😂 seriously, I get it, but when you grow up on boats and on the river, and in my case spending a lot of time in the ocean riding waves as well, you just don't do it. You could get one of those new skinny ones that blow up and that wouldn't be so much of an obstacle. But it also gets in the way of the chest cam and that makes things a little more difficult.
