Speaking as some one overseas (Australia), it's really useful to hear this stuff. So much of what one gets fed about these wars comes filtered through the lens of people with political axes to grind, one way or the other. With these series I feel like I'm actually learning instead of just hearing opinions, it's greatly appreciated, thank you.

They should definitely be brought back, even if they are under a different account.

It’s cool of you to share your experiences as well as letting other vets share their experiences and to hear about a place I’ve been to just made it that much better because I could vividly picture where it took place the towers all of that. Thank you guys.

Rob, I just recently started watching your vlogs. Up until now I had no idea you were in paktika. I was there in 06-07 at fob orgun-e with secret squirrels having their own compound attached to the base. Awesome people. The last 2 minutes of the video when you said it was like the Wild West describes that place to a T. The base was still fairly new, so there were no amenities. We had a connex on the base that was outfitted to have plumbing which was the best thing in the world at the time. We had units at fob bermel, and fob shkin. Don’t know what shkin got renamed to in the later years but it was about 30 miles from bermel along the border. Rocket attacks, insurgent ground troops trying to attack us. And the weird thing is I would do it over again in a heart beat if I was with the same group of people. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

I don't trust our government and I don't always agree with the wars they have chosen to get our country into but I have the upmost respect and gratitude to our troops and our country. Rob you are an awesome person for being successful after you got home and going to try and help fellow veterans like this guy because I know its hard for you guys to adapt when you get home from war. I know that most veterans don't get the resources from our government when they get home but it is real nice to see you trying to help veterans reintegrating back into society. You are a great man for that and you will prosper more in all aspects of your life because of the things you do. I hope we get to see this man fishing!

I never had the privilege to serve due to a genetic heart disorder that got my dad kicked out halfway through boot camp that he passed on to me. These are the kinds of stories that my Grandpa would tell me as bedtime stories about the Pacific in World War II. I have used these stories to put me into the mindset of my friends when they come to me for a shoulder or an ear to clear there heads and get back on track. From my side of things thank you for sharing your experience.

That is a true Toxic Leadership that the NG has..... They want to be more than they deserve... Rob you are doing Awesome Things and I as a Veteran Thank You.... Please know that NG Soldiers are not all bad. It is more of the leadership and stupidness we have to go through.

I would like to join the army/military, but being a civilian. I do not know what would be suited best for me, and my personality. I'm still in my teens but it's never too early to start thinking about your life. I have heard most of Robert's stories and I like hearing what he has done to help our country. I have been around gun my whole life and consider my self a very amateur marksman. Hearing and seeing his skills with firing, especially the video he made with Matt from DemolitionRnanch, I wondered what branch of the army he was in. But just as importantly what specific branch of the military would you suggest for some one who is not looking to spend their whole life in the military. And would be able to come back with skills learned to have a more stable job. Thank you to any one who reads this and more importantly thank you to anyone who comments.
