Not gonna lie, I think Rob hopped in there to tell him to tell the second story for Eric's sake, cause it seems as if that was not within the plan and you could tell that Rob was in a "shit, deal with this quick" mode, especially seeing Erics expressions towards the end of the first story. If so, props to you Rob, you do all of us a favor, plus the guys you work with. Thanks for putting this stuff out there, the more I watch, the more I realize how important it is.

This series is a perfect way to open ones eyes about the serious shit that goes down. That these guys put their asses on the line for our country. Everyone says that but to hear it every Monday from real vets is mind blowing. As a teenager, hearing stories like this makes me aware. Thank you Rob

I remember a story my dad told me about something that happened to him in Afghanistan. He was patrolling through a village near some fields when some children began to approach his patrol unit. He didn't let them get close to him for safety reasons. He noticed that one of them, maybe 9 or 10, looked kinda anxious and kept looking around quickly like he was scared of something. This caught my dad's attention so he studied the kid more closely. He noticed that the kids torso didn't look quite right, like there was something underneath his shirt because it was slightly bulging and lumpy looking and the kid kept touching and rubbing it and kept pulling down his shirt. My dad didn't like this so thinking something like better safe than sorry, he yelled at the kid to get away, alerting the others and explained his observations. At this point, the kid started panicking and looking off in the same direction several times. At this point, everyone was on guard and backing away from the kid when he just started charging them. Unfortunately, that's when the child exploded. No one else was seriously injured, just a couple of cuts, bruises and a concussion. After that, nothing really happened. It's sad that things like that happened.

it's crazy to think in a different country that when something like this happens. no cops show up, no ones surrounding it with cellphones, no news coverage. And everyone just goes on like nothing happened. that's when you know something is wrong with a place

If you know you know. If not it sounds insane to a civilian. They started every single attack with rockets. Followed by pkm and small arms fire. Every ambush. Most of the time it’s like this, ied-rockets-pkm/heavy auto- followed by a barrage of ak. If no ied is in play it’s still the same but in the middle of that every so often you have mortars landing around the kill or danger close zones.

Yep. I also spotted a can of Campbell’s soup in the passenger door cubby. Little items like that are probably some of the most important things for the men and women over there. Just little reminders of home. We mailed care packages to the troops full of random things like that every Christmas to let them know that people back home truly appreciated their sacrifice. Yet you still see Americans in the comment section badmouthing our troops as they sit inside their air conditioned houses waiting for their pizza to get delivered. Too many people take the freedom they have for granted nowadays.

Excellent video as always, Lunk. Always makes Mondays that much more tolerable. I enjoyed the light-hearted stories at the end of the video, a whole 10 minutes of those short stories would be a really good way to close out each veteran's chapter. Keep doing what your doing, man.
