I enjoy your stories. I am an old scout sniper, that served in Korea at camp greaves. We went on recon and ambush patrols, but were never shot at. I am so jealous about you guys serving today and the shit your seeing. Like I said I am old, but still a warrior at heart. Keep the stuff coming.

in Afghanistan the first day there had an ied near us an it was like day on and day off from shit going wrong and kabul seemed to have the focus of the taliban at that time. doing anywhere from 8 to 18 hours outside the wire every day so i think i had the lives of 5 cats and still dont know how i got out of there and come back to Australia. still don't know how to talk about it. but glad you can find the words to speak about it. love your content cheers from Australia

Len M. my grandfather was a gunners mate on a ship in WWII and he used to tell me all sorts of storys when I was younger. he made it to almost 90 and everyone got kinda mad that im the only person he ever told those storys to .

Also Rob, you mentioned the "invincible" feeling. Mine lasted until I hit my mid 40's. I always felt that way, day in , day out. And I acted that way too. Then around mid 40's I started thinking....wow, that might kill me...I was out bambi blasting (deer hunting) and slid down the side of a mountain about 80 ft, and when I stopped I realized the muzzle was under my chin and I had a bear hug on the AR-15, if not for the fire selector being on safe, I may not be able to type this today.

My youngest nephew was an engineer/door gunner on pavlo's glying in n out of both iraq and the stan, he did lots of stuff supporting ground troops. I am thankful men like you and him survived to tell your stories! You do what ever you feel i for one will listen and support you! God bless?

Really dig military Mondays and I think it would be cool to have other veterans share stories as well. I can tell your trying to repress some of the details for the sensibilities of others and I admire that humble quality. Just dont feel like you cant say what you want its a free country that you yourself has fought for. More people than not will herold your stories rather then condemn them. I listen to him and you and him you can tell hold so much in, you need to tell your "REALITY'S" (STORIES.) to everyone. So that other ppl. are aware of what really happens. I think that it is important that people know what you guys went through and it reduces the stigma of PTSD and different difficulties veterans have when you get home. Just my opinion, but I think I could speak on a lot of other people's behalf when I say that a lot of us civilians want to understand and are curious about what you guys go/have gone through. It's something foreign to us and is also something not too many veterans want to talk about and open up about. I know I also I would love to see more since I'm shipping out in less than a month for basic with an 11x contract. Thanks for sharing your stories.

Jacob Grant Yeah family is everything, so they should support his decision no matter what. When I joined I didn't care whether they liked it or not. Parents have this mindset that if you join the service you are going to war are you're going to die, and that's not how it works. Like Christopher Koontz said he does not want to live his life regretting it.

I like listening to you talk bro. My grandpa was 101st airborne in Vietnam and went thru 3 tours after enlisting at the age of 16 (he went in place of his older brother. My uncle) and on his 3rd tour he got selected for LRRP unit. Some of the stories he told me he went through during them 3 long tours would make u think he was lying
