Not just the Medieval period. My maternal Grandfather was kicked out at 7 because his family was poor and already had many children. He was told to go find somewhere else to live. He had to work on farms and in mines. As a kid.

I do appreciate your preemptive apologies for mispronunciations. A better fix would be to simply Google the names/words before butchering them. Medici is an internationally recognized historical name as they had a huge impact on the Renaissance. It's pronounced Med-EE-chee, BTW. That said, excellent content, très intéressant!!
