Christianity has taken over the world most definitely, but it can't erase history. Nowdays, no one cares what your sexuality is, as long as it's 2 adults and you're not throwing it in the air or putting it on your kids, but I can understand why sodomy was frowned on, it's literally sticking a private part up an area where excrement comes out of, and yes, it doesn't produce children which is important to some people. The male dominance aspect is strong today as before, its just all that maleness and testosterone, gotta have an outlet and mate with everything. My wife can trace her family as far back as the Norman conquest of England. The genealogy "tree" one of her uncle's put together by hand show how many children were born in each generation of the first born son or daughter. They survived by having lots and lots of children. How birthing mothers endured that is truly remarkable.

Those from that era who beat all odds in surviving long enough to produce offspring and still have living descendants today are our strong and/or lucky ancestors who probably had some strong genes.
