Hi @stmarks3934, thank your for your comment :) Corrosion prevention applications are done the year around and the important things are that the object can be properly cleaned and dried before the application, that the object and product is at a temperature of 15-25°C (the higher in the range, the better) and that the drying can be done indoor at least over night. With the right facilities and conditions, it can be done the year around but of course, if the object cannot be handled like described, the warmer period of the year is better. Thank you for your comment! The durability depends on the use of the vehicle. For example, off-road vehicles should be checked every 1-2 years and repaired if necessary. Hey, thank you for your message! Tuff-Coat has nothing to do with DINITROL or DINOL. We have in our history had the name Tuff Kote in our brand list and that is completely different. Hey DibroTeam, thanks for your comment. For cavities, DINITROL ML can be used alone or in a two-layer system with e.g. DINITROL 1000 / DINITROL 3650 or Penetrant LT. For the underbody, a thin coat of DINITROL ML can be applied at first and then DINITROL 4941 / 4942. Bonnet and tailgates can be treated with a more solid product such as DINITROL 4010 or DINITROL 1000 / 3650 or Penetrant LT. Please contact us if you have any further questions. Please nobody use this or similar paintable rust protection product's. They seal in and accelerate existing rust, you will never be able to remove a treat all the existing rust. Secondly the product will inevitably crack or flake in some area, once this occurs moisture will get under the wax layer, it stays more damp than if it were exposed to air and dry out and again accelerate rust. If you must use something, any sort of lanolin product is superior and far easier to apply.

DINITROL has been doing the application of 2-layer protection since more than 50 years, 200 000 + cars / year and the right process is the secret. Remove all loose corrosion, apply DINITROL ML and allow it to penetrate all flanges, gaps and corrosion. This takes about 15-30 minutes. The humidity and oxygen is removed and the corrosion stopped. Second layer, the bitumen based product, is applied in order to protect the first layer and the metal from mechanical damage. This system is normally lasting for several years, only checks and possible touch-ups are required in at least 6-8 years. Controls normally done every 2 years. Best regards Team DINITROL!

Dinitrol is oil based. It is not ‘paintable’, you have to spray it on. Only the rubber ones will encourage more rust. Oil doesn’t. Physics doesn’t allow it to.
