I'm pinning this comment here to let everyone know that I've been getting comments from a couple of internet trolls telling everyone I'm a fraud and I'm lying to you all about the Spiritus. These trolls are apparently telling everyone they have spoken to Enid from NSE Tropicals and she says my spiritus is a fake. Enid confirmed the authenticity of this plant (from photographs) before purchase and has also confirmed she hasnt been asked about the validity of this plant by anyone online. Simple jealousy I suspect!

Jesus christ ahaha. Why are these people so angry? Did they buy a pink congo early? Ive spoken to Enid about this and she says youre actually one of the lizard people who actually are aliens living under the Denver airport. (Disclaimer: i did not and she did not say that. Enid seems cool in real life. (Except that all of her plants are actually golden pothos with chemical X poured over (you didnt hear that from me)))

I feel sorry about how you might think we are perceiving you as showing off or you have lots of money or you are snobbish for only focusing on rarer plants. You deserve better. I've seen the variegated Monstera Adansonii for sale on Ebay people bidding up to $ 1,500 for for a cutting of just two leaves . I recently found the Nursery of my Dreams here in Tampa, Florida and I consulted the owner if he thought that plant really existed , and I was showing him the one that EBay had on bid , and he said he owns one , and has had it for a year and a half, he bought it for $1,300 from a friend and sold two baby's so far, he got double the money he invested and still got to keep his Mother plantVariegated Monstera Adansonii ....to die for on my wish list too 🙋🏽👍

Isn't it funny how people are, after reading some of these comments I'm totally amused. We earn money and spend it on what we want to spend it on? If someone thinks something is worth a lot of money and buys it that's up to them. 🤣 I'd rather spend hundreds of pounds on plants that I love rather than over priced crap from Harrod's or Selfrdges lol each to their own. Love plants, love you and your content and if you get rich from all this... Good for you 😘

Kaylee - I have an Epipremnum aureum (Snow Queen) leaf that was taken off the main plant when I took a cutting to root. I too didn't want to just toss it out so did EXACTLY the same thing, just left it in a jug of water on the window sill... it's been there for about 10 months now and has never showed any sign of dying... there is no stem just the leaf and petiole. Surprise, surprise - we've just had some warm weather and I've just noticed it now has roots about 3 inches long. I dare say if I planted it up it won't grow but it surely hasn't died either. LOL.

I agree. White Knight over White Wizard. Regarding the Piper at 10:30, the 'sp' is just an abbreviation for 'species'. It refers to the fact that it hasn't been fully named yet. The discoverer has identified the genus as Piper, but beyond that it has not been officially given what is termed a specific epithet such as Piper KAYLEE, or Piper ELLEN. 'South sumatra' is used to identify it until such times that it's fully named, and may also be retained as a cultivar (usually abbreviated to 'cv') name. Sorry for being boring, I can't help myself sometimes!

This might be a long shot, but do you have an update on the variegated verrusocum? Mine recently just put out a new leaf with a patch that looks like variegation. But I am a bit concerned since there has been a lot of talk recently in the plant community of verrus showing signs of mosaic virus. I can't seem to find any photos of what a true vareigated verrucosum looks like so I referred back to this video. I would love it if you have any recent photos or a progress update on this plant that you can share. Thanks

My parents have a basic green pothos since forever and only the other day I noticed that a small portion, like 10 leafs, looks like they have a varigation. I looked online and it look like the marble queen varigation. I was wondering if varigation can happen spontaneously in house plants and what should I do to keep/cultivate it? Thank you :)

I think you can save the adansonii without a node. I know its not the same as pothos, but with pothos its also known that leaves without nodes will never root..well thats exactly what I did with my pothos leaves, they were too pretty to throw them away and now after 1,5 months 6 of 10 leaves have roots!!!!!!!! Thats so cool I was so happy that I didnt throw them away.

Same here... interested to hear if it is possible! Mine took around 6 months to develop roots, and now my pothos is just starting to grow new leaves - a year later

I’ve actually managed to propagate an adansonii from just a leaf! Maybe the leaf had just enough stem attached to grow, but eventually the original leaf died back and a stem with two leaves has since replaced it! It’s been a VERY slow process, but it’s happening!

The epiprenum pinatum variegated looks cool but there are pothos with cool variegation as well that aren’t nearly as hard to find/expensive, like the manjula or the marble queen

The thing about pinnatum is that when it matures the leaf shape changes and gets pinholes and fenestrations.

Kennedy D pothos varieties also get fenestrations when leaves mature

Kennedy D yeah, many pothos do that including the golden pothos, also I’ve never seen someone able to make the plant transition to the mature form indoors, but it’s technically possible regardless, my point is, that plant doesn’t seem very special to me, she just likes it because it’s hard to find.

@@gustavo31313131 I think that pinnatum gets fenestrations faster than an aureum does, but I've never owned a pinnatum so I'm not sure!

Gustavo Adolfo I love love love my pinnatum just because it grows so well and always seems so happy! In three weeks, the longest vine has grown over 8 inches and it just won’t stop!
