I'm pinning this comment here to let everyone know that I've been getting comments from a couple of internet trolls telling everyone I'm a fraud and I'm lying to you all about the Spiritus. These trolls are apparently telling everyone they have spoken to Enid from NSE Tropicals and she says my spiritus is a fake. Enid confirmed the authenticity of this plant (from photographs) before purchase and has also confirmed she hasnt been asked about the validity of this plant by anyone online. Simple jealousy I suspect!

I've seen the variegated Monstera Adansonii for sale on Ebay people bidding up to $ 1,500 for for a cutting of just two leaves . I recently found the Nursery of my Dreams here in Tampa, Florida and I consulted the owner if he thought that plant really existed , and I was showing him the one that EBay had on bid , and he said he owns one , and has had it for a year and a half, he bought it for $1,300 from a friend and sold two baby's so far, he got double the money he invested and still got to keep his Mother plantVariegated Monstera Adansonii ....to die for on my wish list too 🙋🏽👍

Kaylee - I have an Epipremnum aureum (Snow Queen) leaf that was taken off the main plant when I took a cutting to root. I too didn't want to just toss it out so did EXACTLY the same thing, just left it in a jug of water on the window sill... it's been there for about 10 months now and has never showed any sign of dying... there is no stem just the leaf and petiole. Surprise, surprise - we've just had some warm weather and I've just noticed it now has roots about 3 inches long. I dare say if I planted it up it won't grow but it surely hasn't died either. LOL.

I agree. White Knight over White Wizard. Regarding the Piper at 10:30, the 'sp' is just an abbreviation for 'species'. It refers to the fact that it hasn't been fully named yet. The discoverer has identified the genus as Piper, but beyond that it has not been officially given what is termed a specific epithet such as Piper KAYLEE, or Piper ELLEN. 'South sumatra' is used to identify it until such times that it's fully named, and may also be retained as a cultivar (usually abbreviated to 'cv') name. Sorry for being boring, I can't help myself sometimes!

Hi, I'm new to your channel. I don't know if you will see this, but I have a question. My parents have a basic green pothos since forever and only the other day I noticed that a small portion, like 10 leafs, looks like they have a varigation. I looked online and it look like the marble queen varigation. I was wondering if varigation can happen spontaneously in house plants and what should I do to keep/cultivate it? Thank you :)

The Scientist ASMR variegation is caused by a group of mutations, which can happen spontaneously. It is extremely rare, however. I'll leave the care and cultivation question to someone more experienced. ;)

Thats so cool I was so happy that I didnt throw them away.

I’ve actually managed to propagate an adansonii from just a leaf! Maybe the leaf had just enough stem attached to grow, but eventually the original leaf died back and a stem with two leaves has since replaced it! It’s been a VERY slow process, but it’s happening!
