Maybe! BTW, you should see Dean with Ivar. He’s become Ivar’s bird daddy. He picks him up a few times a day to interact with him and encourage him to interact with the others. And, he’s trying to fly more and doing some flapping.😊

Your Hahn's Macaw is so pretty. My boy Drago I rescued when he was 2 years old I've had him for over 4 years I so love him but he get nippy and holds grudges when I hold my other birds, When I got he he barbered bad he was my bald rooster, Now he has all hid feathers and he is my green dragon.

I've had my Hahns two weeks tomorrow. I was told he's 1 years old and a male. I've named him Solo as in Hahns Solo. I think he's going through bluffing stage. He'll step up onto your arm but believes fingers are for biting. He loves to come out of his cage and flies across room to my shoulder. He's not interested in exploring once he's landed on my shoulder he just wants to be with me. Today he let me preen his pin feathers at the back of his neck and didn't try to bite me. I could tell he really appreciated the help and It gave me a tear in my eye that he let me do it. We seem to make a little more progress every day as the trust grows and even though he's bitey at the minute I absolutely adore him.

I would expect that the biting will decrease. Good for you for keeping at it with him. I think you're going to be so happy with him!

@@ParrotBliss I got mine two years ago as a chick. The other I was given about a year ago because he makes too much noise. They are about the same age. They bite each other very hard though when they are together and I am not sure how to get them to get along.

Emerald is very pretty, I think the Hahns Macaw is prettier than the larger. I think I just have an affinity to those dark green feathers.

Yes, they are completely compatible. You will love having 2! Sorry you can't afford the Capes but I understand. You could get at least 5 Quakers per Cape, price-wise! I have a couple videos on my 2 and now 3 Quakers. Hopefully they will inspire you!
