I agree. I have beta 300 2024 racing .on Sunday I tested a beta 430 rr in a friendly race of 70 kilometers. not the racing model.and I was surprised at how easy it was to drive going on its own on highways on long straights. power and a lot of torque. I found it very fun from the point of view that it has a lot of power and goes everywhere on its own, but here I realized that it does not help you to become a good driver because it does not require any skills, while the other motorcycle wants you to try with your body, to turn and power on the pedals to emphasize the torque and that, in the end, is the enduro for me. so while I have the possibility to go to 480cc foursroke 2024 rr without a difference in money, I will not do it. My friend and seller of betas tells me is about you . I want you are happy but i stay with my 300 rr racing edition 😅.sorry 4stoke maybe another time😢

I'm in alignment with Rich's comments about where the 2T and 4T shine - not that I'm in his riding league, but I have ridden all over the Colorado Rockies on CRF450's and 330 XCW's, and I can do both just fine. The 2T DOES feel more nimble, but after I added weight for the pipe guard (I ride enduro/hard enduro), they kinda feel the same. I love my 450 in ANY desert looking terrain, I don't even want to touch the 300! But the 450 is WAY too much power in tight places, so I'm seriously considering buying another orange bike in the 350 displacement! I believe I'm one of the riders who the 350 would be ideal for, I just can't stand to part with my other 2 bikes, they are both awesome to ride! Which ever bike I'm on, I'm smiling while I'm riding!😄

I started wrong with an experience of 2 strokes. For 6 months as a newb I’ve ridden enduros on a TE150. (inc one 3 hour enduro race). People bang on about how wonderful the 150 is for beginners. It absolutely is NOT a beginners bike if you want to actually progress at enduro at a pace that isn’t highly frustrating, not if muddy steep hills are involved like we have in UK. You need to be very experienced to ride it well. It’s really good at twisty trails and mild rises. But enduros over her usually involve much more. I’ve leant it to seasoned riders and they struggle on hills on it compared to their 300s. No good if you’re trying to do laps on a 10 mile XC. It has no bottom end and a snappy power band that comes on far quicker than the bigger ones. It needs to do pretty much any hill on the pipe. Yes you have to clutch it but the margin of error in 1st on the pipe with clutching is zero so you end up a micron too much clutch the speed washes off and you fall onto the hill or a micron too much clutch or micron too much gas (and you spin up the wheel and stop or you flip it. Either way stuck zapped of energy to do more laps doing this multiple times. This happens say 5 times a lap on hills 300s and 4 strokes trundle up. Hitting with enough speed to get into 2nd when clutch modulation is a little better often isn’t possible due the limited space at the bottom and the lack of low end power. So as a newb I’m trying to learn, and trying to learn on a 150, so double trouble. I’ve rethought my process, my priority is to get better quicker and safely so I can get bike fit and do more laps without crashing on every hill climb and actually progress. The aim wasn’t to learn to ride a 150. I had a go on a 350F and was amazed. The linear throttle was one less thing to think about and the pure grunt of a 4T. I also like the sound albeit I’ll sure miss the little 2T zap. I’ll miss the zippy playfulness of my 150 over little bumps but I’ve got to focus on the target, getting better at the sport so I’m also safer and getting more overall enjoyment 🙂. I might go 300 2T enduro eventually but I do fancy trying the 4T as the low revving nature seems calmer and less frantic.

I grew up on two strokes. I still ride them. I think they are more fun. I like the sound and the smell of a two stroke. I also like the low cost of repair and the ease of repair. I think four strokes have really hurt the sale of bikes and thus the popularity of Supercross. Their higher cost has put them out of reach of many. If the manufacturers would make a competitive 300cc two stroke that the AMA would allow then it would be great to see and bring people back to the sport. There needs to be more variety.

The Dad even rides an X-Trainer (albeit Fox damper at the rear, increased oil level in the forks) while his (decently fast) Son rides a stock 200 RR. The slightly stiffer "Racing" versions will cover a heavier rider better without tweaking (and KYB is always nice!). I actually don´t use my RR Racing for much MX anymore. I was riding enough old-geezer club races due to my Kids racing it was worth getting a dedicated MX bike. The Beta acts as the family MX spare (Kids get my YZF250 if their bikes are down) and is setup as a dedicated (road registered etc) Enduro machine (hard hand-shields etc).
