In 1984 2 teenage girls were on a local hickey in the Humboldt | Toiyabe National Forest in western Nevada near the town of Genoa. While hiking, something stepped out of the forest and startled them, this creature then followed them all the way back down the mountain...this is what happened.
Keep Hiking!

The last sentence in the girls statement about the sasquatch was beautifully written, describing the sasquatch they saw being a part of the forest and rivers and sky. I imagine it would be a shock to see such a powerful figure and I'm not sure I could have kept the composure they seemed to. Thank you for another wonderful encounter that ended peacefully.

Don't be, they aren't inherently dangerous to humans anymore than black bears. Leave them alone and they'll, leave you alone. The only reason people promote this threat narrative is because of ignorance. Yeah the size and sounds they make can be intimidating but in 99% of sightings/encounters, the bigfoot is usually the first to walk away without incident. They have more reason to be afraid of us than we do them. Let's use logic, in all these stories, nobody's ever been attacked or killed. Millions of campers, hikers, hunters, fisherman and backcountry hikers go into the wilderness where these beings are seen alot every year and come out just fine. Ignore the channels and commenters making these beings out to be monsters bevause the actual data and reports don't support it.

I went camping this past weekend & had my first, up close & personal encounter with a Big Black Bear! It was 6am & I heard so big rummaging around camp & I jumped out of my sleeping bag, unzipped the window & it was standing 10 feet from the tent at the kayak. I was so stunned, I yelled at it & barked like a hunting dog.. lol Thankfully, it ran like hell because I didn't have bear spray or a plan B..but my camp mate had his pistol in hand! 😮

You see, today I was going to be lazy and not do my workout. Then I remembered it's Sunday and Chris had a new video out, and I decided to jump on my treadmill.😂 I watch these videos and subarctic Alaska's videos while I work out no other time. It works and makes me want to work out. But on a side note, I can't believe how many people don't believe in Bigfoot and say they don't exist when there's so many people out there that have seen them face to face. 🙄

Thank you Chris for relating this story in the actual location. Years ago I read about this encounter that the two young women had with a bigfoot, and tried to imagine what the actual trail and terrain looked like. It looks exactly as I imagined it. I'm an east coaster, but have done some hiking in California's Sierra mountain range - Yosemite Park back in 1989, and some coastal trails near Morro Bay, when my friends lived in San Luis Obispo. If bigfeet live as long as humans, this bigfoot might still inhabit the same region and possibly have descendants as well.

This story is so scary and fascinating!!! I enjoy these stories so much. There has to be truth about the sightings of bigfoot. One cannot make up stories such as this one. I honestly think that Bigfoot is not aggressive unless provoked. They are territorial and the forests are their home. There is so much oddities in this vast land we live in. We don't know everything !!!! It's a mystery that is thought provoking!!! 😮❤
