The first story is written so incredibly well. It dragged me from the brink of sleep to sitting up in bed to snacking on granola in my dark kitchen while hanging on every word. Damn, what a story.

That final story her biggest mistake was confronting him before she was in a safe space. Ladies never ever confront a man in a secluded location. Your righteous indignation is not worth your life.

That's perfect phrasing "righteous indignation". People live life like they're in a TV show and nothing bad will ever happen to them and they can do and say what they want, completely disregarding the fact that you cannot control how other people are going to respond and you can never assume you're dealing with a rational stranger.

Omg that one about the woman who almost gouged that man's eyes out! Omg. That woman needs to tell her story at every college as a warning to younger woman to know self defense (how she fought! I was in awe listening to her bravery!) and how they need to do a lot more to feel safe. That woman is a fighter. A hero.

The lady in the second story should have waited until she was safely outside then started insulting him. She reminds me of those folks who reveal to the villian that they know their plans and are calling the police. And we know how that usually ends.

@@Panda-cutethat's not helpful at all. When one of my apartment showings last minute was going to be a guy, I called a friend to accompany me. And she made the conscious decision to verbally ream this guy while they were alone in his house. It's unfortunate that we have to think of the worst case scenarios but that's how you avoid situations like this.

Story 2: Being a man and of a protective spirit, It really disturbs and triggers me to know how many predatory animals (THE TWO LEGGED KIND) there are out there.

Yes, very sad that all men are automatically considered suspect when most men are decent. Women are compelled to learn that some men only consider them prey. I believe the situation is continuing to improve though as laws have evolved and human predators of all types are uncovered and face justice. Also heartening to hear accounts of good men coming to the aid of women in bad circumstances with such criminals.

I think I heard it took place in the 80's, which considering how many prolific serial killers were active at that time, it doesn't surprise me that a domestic case like that would be difficult to find

anything horror relating to landlords always reminds me of the show strangers from hell. it’s like one of my fav shows, i definitely recommend watching!!
