They don't expire! The only way you would lost them is if you close your card account before redeeming or transferring them

Always book direct. Also book Hostelling International rooms or YHA (Youth Hostels of Australia), both are affiliated with each other - suitable for any age group and type - private rooms to bunk bed rooms. Saved me bucket loads of money.

Sapphire doesn't always have good deals on booking though them even though they give u 25% bonus points IMO they are 25% more, Transferring to airlines is good way to get more value

Yes, you can get really value by transferring to airline partners - however this video is specifically about how it applies to hotels for those that are interested. When there are transfer bonuses on (like right now), there's pretty good value for hotels
