I am responding using my new iPad Pro 11 M4. I needed an upgrade from my old 2'nd generation Pro and I'm glad I waited. Except for price, of course. I watched another video today from someone who uses the iPad for his videos and for his main computing. But he said he is having trouble making his podcasts using this one. Have you tried doing that? If so, how did it work? Also, do you edit your videos on iPad or another device?

To that argument you can say the same thing for most MacBook Pro users. Most users of Macs are likely never going to use the Mac to its full potential. Most Mac users don't use the terminal app on their macs. Let alone the power of their silicon macs. I love iPad Pro. Gaming at 120hz in HDR Bloom and rendering an entire arena for my games is amazing always.

As great as the iPad Pro is - at the end of the day, it is *just* an iPad. If you can utilize the power of the hardware, then all the better for you. But if not, probably not worth it.

Agree - a bit of education about use cases makes the decision easier - as a creator I find it essential for a few things :)

Samsung is better. I need to be able to watch KZbin while I play Old School Runescape without having to exit Runescape to pick the next video. But yeah, the screen is good I guess.....*sigh*

Thanks for sharing the double tone option! I was a bit confused with the black magic keyboard because it has a more traditional vibe, but the silver looks great. Since I'm a fan of the space grey iPad, I think I'll go with space grey on white-it looks really cool!

Thanks, but I’m review this review unit - it’s different. I think the pro is brilliant, but if you have an M1 iPad Pro, it’s not necessarily worth moving up for everyone. :)

What I want and actually use day to day is all productivity on my Mac Mini and iPad Pro for away from desk sketching and content consumption. Sure would be helpful to be able to use iPad Pro for away from desk external SSD video work. Can only be use with internal SSD for video processing.

I think the biggest question we have to ask is should we upgrade if you have the previous version of the iPad (in my case air, but it applies nonetheless) What are the performance differences between the two?

Unfortunately the iPadOS at WWDC24 was shunned again in favour for Apple Intelligence. Which would trickle-down to the iPad Pro. In addition, the iPad Pro will be able to handle these things much quicker but it is just a shame that the interface has not been updated or improving any meaningful way other than the calculator.

I would love the new pro. I do 3D Modelling for tabletop gaming and 3D printing. I do everything on my iPad Pro 2018, and I love it and it’s a workhorse. But I run into limits as the software I use improve and grows. This is absolutely perfect fit for me. I also use mine to edit videos for my channel.

Definitely go for standard I think- I heard a few people say for Nano - you would know your use case. You can always add something like paper like for a smaller lean in that direction and then get the texture and protection too :)

Haha! Thanks again for waiting: it’s a huge job with everything else. I’m getting there: but I’m filming the process as I go also as I know that lots of existing users will want to make updates to their version filled with life info - rather than move across in a complex way. It’s coming in BETA asap to existing owners. And currently have a job profile out for some help that will help over coming months to offer more support around it. Cheers. 🎉🥲

If they make photo and video content seamless, it would be well worth the price tag. Right now, still just a bit convoluted. Fast, but still convoluted. An Apple app-driven content creator suite would be a good start. Should be included with the price of the Pros though - even going back several generations on the Pros.

After my GCSEs I’m looking to buy an iPad Pro, and I’m not sure between getting the 13 inch or 11 inch, if I were to get the 11 inch I was wondering if it is worth also getting a monitor so I could use an external keyboard and mouse with the monitor and iPad while at home at my desk, but then I could just use the iPad when I’m at school for example. What do you think? Is there any point also getting a monitor, and should I go 11 inch or 13 inch?

I think for most people the 11 inch is best for reading and note taking and portability. With an external monitor and Stage manager could be a nice combo. Defo try both in the shop first to see what you feel. I still feel a laptop is essential for many - but if you can do all in one device - 13 inch is great: I did it for 2 years and was deffo better for multi tasking apps.

Thinking about getting iPad Pro 13 inch but don’t know which storage should I get 512 or 1 tb I wanna getting into editing photos and editing videos and drawing and other stuff will the 1 tb with 16 gbs of ram worth getting instead of 8 gb ram with 512 gb storage

If you have money to get the 1tb, go for it.

If you are investing in a Pro - deffo go 1TB if you can afford it. If you genuinely need a pro, you will genuinely need 1TB. :)

I have a 512gb 13 inch iPad Pro. I will never use more than 200 gb of its storage. My MacBook Pro has 16gb of ram and 512gb storage. I tend to do more on my MacBook Pro but use my iPad Pro more.
