Wow ... that's a heck of a gamble! Mind you having played the role of really bad teacher to my two kids through lockdown and gaining nothing but a new notch on my belt I can see you clearly made the right choice!

I forgot to mention, sitting in the Landy all day and eating Namibian food did nothing for my waist line either!

Missed an opportunity to explore Africa with two friends in 1985 due to engineering studies. Now I can do the trip with you. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks mate... yeah, I feel for you all. I really did wonder if in making these lots of people would hate me and the films out of understandable jealousy from being caged vs the freedom I tried to grab. I'm trying to be sensitive to all of the suffering that people have endured, especially those in Africa that I witnessed first hand as their economies collapsed and left people jobless and in desperate ways. Hopefully what I do will inspire a few extra people to visit in the future as a tiny repayment for all of the kindness and hospitality I receive from strangers on the road...

@@roamingyak Jealous never, wishing our 71 LWB Series 3 was parked next to you definitely, but circumstances keep us were we are so we will have another year touring in the U.K. or staycation as it is now known over here, we’re off to Yorkshire shortly for a few days break we never say when we will return just in case we are enjoying it too much and decide to stay longer, family will know our location and keep in touch daily, how I long for those days before mobile phones were finding a land line to let them know we were safe and well and were we had got up to or been to over the previous weeks since the last call. Happy days, keep enjoying your freedom and keep us up to date with your travels, May your God go with you, take care and stay safe but most of all enjoy yourself David

Hi Jeremy, thanks for checking out my films, and especially commenting, that helps out the channel a lot. I will do at some point, but it needs to be geared towards what you'd like to film and how. If I'm honest I'd only recommend about 30% of what I had and its now all 1-2 years old, so the newer models have or will be out shortly for most items. One important note, Action cameras like GoPro's are hopeless on corrugations, the footage becomes unusable as the sensors in the camera are too small to cope with the quick up/down even when very firmly bolted to the vehicle.
