Good job on the review. My 25s is about 2 years old now with 160 hours. We ran into the same issue with the belt cover knobs getting loose and getting lost. So, I check it every time we mow but, still have lost a few. A couple weeks ago, I replaced them all and put a lock washer on each. So far so good. The other deck height bolt has also loosened up one time on the right side.

I just left all mine out lol last year I drove with half a belt because I thought it was 2 belts but it's just one thick belt I put that on this year with new blades but now my blades look old because of all the rocks in the yard 😂

I have had the Farmall Case 25 B for six years and 700 hours. Made by the same company and painted red. Mower deck is a bit different but very reliable and tractor has been really good. Diesel filler is above bonnet and takes way more gas than that. It probable comes down to how handy the dealer is for a Case versus a New Holland in your area is my guess. Both are great!

Mine about to hit 200hr and I need 2 new belts and all new mowing blades. The oil stays about the same on stick but I have to keep an eye on transmission oil were I take the bucket off all the time. Overall I rate it a 8 out of 10 for sure

How do you know that they are the same tractor? This info can help me with attachments, Would the backhoe attachment be the same?
@DerekSpeedExposure Жыл бұрын
Dealer said I had to buy one with a back hoe to have the seat to were it turns around and so forth to operate the backhoe
@avotreemansanders3289 Жыл бұрын
@@frankfurther3828 Hi Frank I am not an expert on tractors, however the New Holland 25 Boomer is almost identical to the Farmall Case 25 B. The New Holland 25 S is designed for a back hoe as it’s seat turns around, has smaller wheels and has a Yanmar engine as apposed to a Mitsubishi in the Case 25 B and I think in the Boomer. Talk to both dealers is my best advice to check facts and for what suits you best.

Blue loctite (serviceable loctite) the nuts and bolts.

To avoid extra spills on the HF, make sure you play with the controls on all directions, with the tractor off of course, to release the pressure. I also heard that LS or Kioti makes the NH? I was looking at the JD 1025R, it's a nice tractor, the BM hook up is a breeze. But a 54" mower installed cost $3,600.00😮😮, neverminded the BH with a spoon scoop (8") ?? The salesman said that the reason for it, is because we are in NY and the ground is full of rocks, the 12" or 16" scoop causes lots of stress on the tractor. Make sense? Maybe, depends who operates it also. Some owners beat that heck of it and complain when it breaks.

I've really overworked my tractor the bucket looks slightly crooked now but everything still works good. The mowing deck I've hit so many rocks that the bolts want keep the blades on so I put lock tight and lock washers on them. When the blades come off that means it needs a new spindle. I've noticed also the sensor wires don't hold up which cut the tractor off so I have to move one of the wire sensor to make it start

LS is the actual manufacturer of most of New Hollands smaller tractors.
@PoisonShot202 ай бұрын
@@DerekSpeedExposure Regard the mower blades, Yes. I have a toro with 48" deck, changed the spindle twice, due to hitting rocks.
@DerekSpeedExposure2 ай бұрын
@@PoisonShot20 the spindle is so expensive so i just did that temporary fix for now, but i could get the spendle and make a video installing it sometime sense i have to get it eventually anyways

I am heavily opposed to a mid mount mower. Everyone has 3 point brush hog videos. For these small tractors one of the biggest benefits is low fuel usage. So now we need to start considering self powered mower attachments. So WHEN we need more power we can easily double the working power with out buying 2 tractors. Preferably in front of the tractor to reduce damage to the actual tractor. At least offset mowers. 3 point self powered bush hog ? In Europe they all ready have all of these. In Europe your tractor could be bailing round or square bales. Here we are lucky to find some what useful ATV products at exotic prices. Thank you

@@cody481 I don't have any attachments yet I was actually really wanting a 4ft box blade to level out some banks and dips in the yard!
@cody4812 жыл бұрын
DerekSpeedExposure Oh boy have I been down that road. My solution was to build my own. The average boxblade will be fully loaded very quickly and it ends with you cussing. Use a replacement scraper blade to make your own. Weld rail spikes (Ebay cheap) so they protrude about 3-4". Rip the gravel first then drag with the flat side of the blade. That works fairly well because gravel can exit between the teeth on one side then flip it over and you will retain a small amount of gravel the rest will overflow the top. I later added adjustable skids so the gravel could exit under by about 2". Your tractor with a " normal " box blade will be dragging so much weight you will cry. After much thought $ and tears a hydraulic top link MIGHT solve these problems by allowing you to raise the front of your boxblade. Then again since the rear push blade was designed to push as in tractor traveling backwards it might just rip off the replacement wear bar. ? Don't ever buy a boxblade that doesn't have 2 bolt on replacement wear bars. Any questions?

That was a good review and it seems like a solid machine over all. I'm curious if the loose nut on the mower deck should have another nut tightened up on it? Something to keep it from getting loose all the time. It looks like its for leveling the deck. Maybe stop by the dealer and see how their deck is set up? Thanks for doing the review - it is very helpful.
@tomgoggin38652 жыл бұрын
I looked on another deck video and they only had one nut up against the deck bracket, and the other nut at the end of the shaft. So I guess it isn't supposed to have two nuts cranked together. Its odd that it comes loose.

Do you keep your mower on all the time? Also, how do the R4 tires do while mowing? Do they tear the yard up?
@DerekSpeedExposure3 ай бұрын
Hey man yea I only take deck off when I have to, it's not very fun to take off a lot of steps to it. The r4 tires my yard looks pretty good but I have noticed the deck if you have the wheels down far you can see where they rolled but overall my yard looks pretty good. To turn in the yard I go all the way around twice then I go back and forth to turn around for the next straight row I back up and then keep going back and forth like that so the tires don't tear the yard up with all the sharp turning with the r4 tires
