Hi AK, I have been listening to your sharing videos and I would appreciate if you could help to enlighten me on my following question, which I am confident that you will be of great help : Example. If a person invested $20K on a stock at $10 per share with a 5% dividend payout will be $1,000 ($0.50 per share), but, if the share price drop to $9 per share, with a 5% per the latest share price - $0.45, the amount will be at $900. Which then become 4.5% from the original capital of investment ($20K). Please correct if I am wrong on the calculation on this example - the actual % dividend of the initial capital investment amount changes when there is a fluctuation in share price. This is something I really need a person like you to share with me per your knowledge of investment :) I look forwards to your reply and sharing.

I believe your friend made the right choice. Factoring in dividends he actually paid $14.83 or $14.39 per share after about 3 or 9 months time. This is already below your target price of $14.72 or $15. Waiting time incurred opportunity cost. That is why we should stay invested at all times. As for those who are already heavily invested in banks the loss in opportunity cost don’t add up much.
