Always so beautiful!! The more I hear music played with ukulele, the more I fall in love with ukulele. I’m a Martin concert and KoAloha soprano owner, both koa wood. More power to you good fellows!!

Life is challenging for a lot of folks right now, and these broadcasts/jam sessions aren't just informative, they're also real stress relievers (I have the Hawaii '78 duet from your $200-$300 uke review permanently queued up). I really love my Pono Cedar/Mahogany tenor which I bought with Joel's help. It's great to have a resource as knowledgeable as you folks. Thanks guys!

@@jwukulele Thank you! My Pono Ds12-20 does a pretty good job of sounding like Kottke's set up, with medium gauge strings tuned low.

Those Ponos sure had to travel a long way from Pono, LoL. I’m not a guitar player, yet, but those are so awesome sounding. Of course the Corey and Mika can make a tin can with uke strings sound amazing 🏝🏝👏👏👏👏🏝🏝🤙

So excited to see a new vid available - thank you for posting ! I second Bobo’s sentiments, too. The Pro Classic Macassar ebony and Indonesian Rosewood models are ones that I’ve been dreaming about - words cannot emphasize how stunning they are! The sound, too, WOW! Do either of these models come in a plain headstock vs slotted, btw? I recall in the past, there were models with the regular headstock. Also, any cutaway models available in those wood configurations? Love you guys and thank you so much for all you do!
@HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS4 жыл бұрын
Love you too! None currently with the regular headstock and cutaway, but we will have those again at some point. Mahalo!

Whoa those Pono cedar rosewood tenors have sold quickly! There were 5 on website and now only 1!!

Great to see you are back Andrew! Beautiful instruments. Pono is the next uke on my wishlist. Thanks Corey and Mika. Btw where is Kalei G? I havent seen him on the podcast lately.
@s2s_parrotfan2364 жыл бұрын
I believe Kalei has left HMS to start his own business. He and Corey are running the USA branch of Anuenue, aka AnuenueUSA. Kalei seems to be 'full time.' On their website they both review/display/highlight the Anuenue product line with sound sample from each.

Mahalo! Yeah I miss Kalei too. We'll have him back someday soon.

I sure would love to know what strings Mika is using at 10:20 on the RTSH(C)-PC (like mine!). I don't get that same mellow sound. I'm using a set of fairly old Living Water strings.
