Thankyou so much for this video! It was very informative & well detailed. I do suffer from perioral dermatitis when I use even a slightest bit of steroid so I will definitely give it a try. But I have a question, I have hyperpigmentation on the corner of my mouth that I want to resolve, should I do a spot treatment or apply all over? Does it have an exfoliating properties?

I used retin A diligently every night, as directed, and used copious amounts of sunscreen every day and wide-brimmed hats, for a whole year, and at the end of the year , l had new wrinkles on my cheeks that were not there before, and my skin had this constant dry, thin crepey appearance. I gave it up. I feel so conflicted about it because literally everyone says it's so wonderful. But l just couldn't anymore. And yes, l was using mild unscented French pharmacy moisturizer, etc. I must be an alien.

It sounds like you have very delicate skin. Keep your routine minimal. Gentle fragrance free cleanser, fragrance free moisturizer, fragrance free sunscreen. After your skin gets better( 2-3 weeks) , introduce Retin A again. This time start slowly only once/ twice per week. And after use it maximum 3 nights a week. For anti ageing properties 3x a week is fine. Keep your routine simple.

@Skincare_With_Lenka Yes, l was doing all those things. Avene tolerance products and unscented mineral sunscreen. My skin was not irritated or inflamed or even flaking. I had gone through the retinization process, and there was no reaction. My skin just looked dry and old. And l had to come to a point of asking myself, after a full year, why am l doing this? I might try again. But l feel a full year is really a long trial. I might try Beauty of Joseon Retinaldehyde. But maybe l will try again.

Hey, just as you wrote it is great. Lotion first, azelaic acid, moisturizer and I would definitely add a sunscreen SPF50 since Treatinoin can make your skin sensitive. For the PM routine: sometimes skin can get overwhelmed with too many active ingredients at the same time. ....if your skin is getting sensitive, use azelaic acid in the AM routine and Treatinoin in the pm routine.

Girl thank you, this is exactly the video I've been thinking I wanted! I did use a pea size amount in the past but then when I look it up online, it seems "2.5cm" of product, or 0.5g is recommended. Which at first seems like it's not going to blend in, but it does as it dries down, it's just a task to layer over it..

Thank you ☺️💕, Honestly I need to ask my dermatologist how much of the product should be used next time I see him. On the leaflet that came with the medication said: the amount of the cream to be applied will depend on the size of the affected area. So you can apply it just on the area you need. But when I watched one dermatologist online, she said to apply it all over the face and use half of fingertip of the cream and gradually increase to whole fingertip. So I went with half fingertip suggestion ( or bigger pea size)

That is totally normal. That is because all the gunk deep underneath your skin is coming to the surface. You should see an improvement after 4-6 weeks. I am right now using it too and my chin looks like a tropical island with many volcanos on it. Just be patient 😉

Hi Zamankhan, your skin should not be peeling, azelaic acid is mildly exfoliating and if you are using other exfoliating ingredients it might be too much for your skin, remember irritation cause inflammation and inflammation cause hyperpigmentation. Or simply using too many active ingredients can be irritating. Vitamin C in high concentration can be irritating for some people. Hormones can also cause dark spots. The best would be to visit your dermatologist. ... Stop using everything except gentle cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen for few days and allow your skin calm down.

Hi Birktawit 😊 The best is RetinA ( Tretinoin) but this one is prescription only, second best is Retinaldehyde cream or serum. Skin functional has good Retinaldehyde serum.

I’m not new into skinoren and you confuse me with your skincare routine. All those actives. As far as I know skinoren can be used (even though it’s written that you should not use other ingredients with this cream) only Niacinamide or/plus Hyaluronic acid , I guess….in the same skincare routine. It’s like vitamin c, I mean you have to be careful.

Quite the opposite. I was today prescribed the exact same product by my dermatologist, who said the redness is normal, so that I don't feel frightened by it and stop using it. You should use it 2x a week, when you go to bed, and when you see you can tolerate it more, you can make it 3x a week.
