20 Beginner Boxing Combos - Boxing Training
Boxing combos are a sequence of punches and movements that you execute to attack or counter your opponent. A successful boxing combo is one where you manage to: land your shots. Protect yourself from any counterattack from an opponent.
You should never just aimlessly throw punches without a purpose unless, of course, your goal is to become a mindless brawler.
The biggest challenge in a boxer's offense is making sure your punches aren't telegraphed. When opponents see your offense coming, it gives them just enough time and room to evade and essentially slip the punch. Using combinations diversifies your offense and keeps opponents on their toes, unable to anticipate your next move.
How can I improve my boxing combos?
Don't always throw the same punches to the same areas. Diversify your combinations by constantly going both upstairs and downstairs on your opponent, keeping them unable to anticipate where your next punch will be coming from. Knowing when to throw is extremely important.
How many combos are there in boxing?
There are a total of 36 possible 2-punch combos. Many are very useful, some are only effective under certain conditions, and some are rarely executed. We will focus on a few very powerful 2-punch boxing combos to practice.

--------------------------------------------
Combinations are for everyone; they make boxing fun and enjoyable while adding new elements to your game at any level you decide to take on in boxing. Remember the boxing punch numbers; this will make your life a lot easier, not harder. Boxing combinations help open up an annoying tight guard, help score points, and we look cool doing it, to say the least.
Professionals use the same combinations over and over again. They don't go out trying to throw more punches or more brutal punches. They simply alter their combinations' aim, angle, and timing to beat their opponents.

@lowcarbonconsultant
@lowcarbonconsultant 7 жыл бұрын
Right foot in front is called Southpaw stance. This is typically for left-handed people. but some fighters use both or fight in southpaw even if they are right handed. There are advantages and disadvantages to fighting southpaw. but I think 95% of fighters have their weak side forward so it probably works best that way!

@@lowcarbonconsultant It's actually the opposite. You should put your strong side forward and your weak side backwards. Your jab and left hook are extremely strong. They are way stronger than your right. they're faster, easier, and more accurate. No need for too much power to win a fight. One good accurate punch on the chin, and he's down.

In reality, a double jab is ineffective if delivered in exactly the way you demonstrate it. Having delivered the first jab, that hand does not go back to the chin before you deliver the second jab. Remember you are moving forward, backward or laterally with the jab and it has to rhyme with your footwork to maintain your balance.

Why does he life his back foot every time he throws the jab
@balamukundr3025
@balamukundr3025 4 жыл бұрын
It's called pivoting. Adds power by employing rotational momentum. Usually coaches train you to throw crosses like that first to get the form right. Same way some coaches teach to flatten the body into a jab. But in the ring usually people rarely pivot unless they're ending a combo with a cross.
@NickTv..

To align the wrist and forearm. When you make contact, there should be no movement in the wrist otherwise the chances are higher you are prone to breaking something. Of course there’s other techniques which don’t require you to rotate the wrist but without proper coaching ... the outlook will probably be the same

@thereaper6392
@thereaper6392 7 жыл бұрын
I box, have been in M.M.A for many years and I've noticed some people don't move their bodies when they hit. It is necessary if you want ti win haha. It makes it easier for to to slip punches, counter, parry, and also helps you put more speed and power into your punches, gives you an advantage. Try getting used to it while you train, you're gonna need it.
@brunoborer7038
@brunoborer7038 7 жыл бұрын
This was an excellent tutorial on the basics. Whatever your fighting style you are only as good as your basics.I boxed for many years before training in the martial arts. A boxer doesn't just punch with his fist. He punches with his entire body. When the body is moving with the punch it acquires speed, torque and explosive force. It's like the head of a spear. The spear isn't deadly because it has a sharp point. It's the weight and movement of the shaft behind the point that makes it a lethal weapon. The same is true of the punch. It's not the fist. It's what's behind it. The feet are positioned for leverage. The knees are bent. The torso rotates with the punch to add mass. Mass plus speed equals power. Martial arts are great. But at close range nothing beats a good pair of hands. And I think on average boxers are much better strikers than martial artists.
