Nurgling crapstack with papa Ku'gath is probably one of the strongest crapstacks. Beastmen mage lord with 19 Ungor raiders. 0 Upkeep and no unit cap on the raiders.

If you are going to make a doomstack with grimgor and black orcs, just keep a black orc unit with "Da immortulz" banner and it can solo the entire enemy army with 0 losses

@@EdinLG yes. The unit bugs whenever they are hit by artillery or explosions that fling the unit away. But they aren't considered dead.

you need to have 18 heros with them with the confidant trait to give the 300 leadership..the banner wont work if their leadership is under 50%

@@ratbag6164 I am well aware, but it's the same for slayer units in Ungrim Ironfist's army as it is for black orcs with the "Da Immortulz"-banner, the game sometimes just decides to not give a single shit about any active effects/abilities that render your unit's models immortal; it kills them anyway. Not much else qualifies for that "Da Immortulz"d black orc unit with 202/218 leadership (i.e. far above 50%), or that slayer unit with 90% HP left (far above 75% which is where the Journey's End passive normally turns off), suddenly losing a model or 5.

@@ratbag6164 each hero has an aura of leadership as well. If you keep them close you don't need confident trait. You can corner camp with the heroes behind the black orcs. Just be careful with artillery.

One way to improve the current new rating system could be to assign a number from 1-5 such as 4 for practicality for example then create a score out of 15 for the total, makes the rating more clear in the end whilst still considering the varying factors when rating

We need to admit that all love numbers. So.. Pure strenght: 8/10 Yes, they very strong, but they not imune to damage, and they cant heal, we saw doomstacks much stronger and durable Practicality: 4/5 It's not difficult to get this doomstack, but still need some effort and of course some items on characters, also its cheap and no need of trait farming Easy to use: 5/5 Very easy, just charge and keep them together, only thing you might need to do its use heal potions, even the attack buff can be ignored Total rating: 17/20 which very impressive Why not 10 for everything? Because strenght of a doomstack is the main index and should be evaluated more, no point of weak doomstacks and give them high numbers for practicality and complexity of use.

Legend, in WH3, Greenskins have higher income than most factions. I wouldn't call the income unusual. They really did buff Greenskin economy to the moon.

Feels a bit of overkill to use full black ork doomstack. I wanted to do too in my campaign, finally I just chose to spread them (3to5 in each) in different armies with strong melee units involved. Against EGC, it’s even possible in one turn with this doomstack to endure something like 5or6 stacks in different battles if it’s on your term with the new stuff in wh3 to switch on/off the mount and immediately gets the health back, and then put them back one time in the army, even here to put them back on foot next ofc. Managed correctly with multiple heal potions as well, you can probably get rid of 5-6 EGC “good” armies and still be back to full health after the replenishment of the end game after killing them all… strong indeed… Gooda’ Smasha’ Boiiz ! Lol

I planned on doing a Greenskins campaign after I'm done with my current Lizardmen campaign. Now I'm convinced :D. What would I lose by going with Grom's faction (it's the strongest afaik)?

Not too much. Bonus with grimgor is he gives you increased capacity for BOBs, higher recruit rank, and you can just recruit them anywhere no building required. Grom you would need to spam the orc buildings to get your capacity going and recruit them but then you also have access to groms cauldron abilities which is a massive bonus in itself. Grimgor is just more thematic really.

You'd lose having the biggest and baddest orc there is as your faction leader. Seriously though, the difference would probably rather small and wouldn't make this stack impossible or similar, -15% phys res from "da biggest scalies" trophy and that's about it I'd think.

If you don't want to do number ratings anymore, I think the system could be improved with a radar chart with things like practicallity, upkeep cost, ease of use, strength in battle, strength in auto resolve etc. It's not a hard number but in the end you'd be able to tell at a glance how good a stack is and if it has obvious weaknesses

Yes and no. The banner still works as it did and the BOBB still help them to not fall below leadership BUT there is a bug at the moment where da immortulz still lose models even though it says they aren't. I think someone else said it has to do with explosion or attacks that send them flying but I can't confirm. After the battle they go back to full models but during the battle, they lost a ton of combat effectiveness. I have yet to see if they can full on die but the stack is far less efficient with a single black orc who can't die regardless.

Personally, I could disagree on the exact number but it wasn't in a blaming way. I personally want you to give 3 numbers (difficulty to obtain, upkeep cost (and disadvantages from obtaining it) and combat strength. It's a lot like your lord rankings "combat strength", "army buffs" and "faction buffs". This army would be a 6 in terms of how obtainable it is a 7 in terms of how costly it is and a 9 in terms of how strong it is. Splitting it in 3 categories can still let you give arbitrary numbers, while still keeping up to people how high the combined score should be.

I believe there's a size cap at which enemies will fire/not fire at single entities depending on their size. Black orks and Grimgor must be large enough that archers will bother shooting them.

There is already a "Krimson Killerz" doomstack for Grimgor. Essentialy you fish for "disciplined" and you have a unit that CANNOT die, Legend already made a video. It was for TW 2, but it wasn't patched anyway The Vigor part I think it just works once, it doesn't stack. But honestly, for heroes such as these, vigor while useful isn't vital.

Is that to say any doomstack should get patched due to abuse of a mechanic that works as intended since that's all that doomstacks are? And unfortunately, the immortalz banner is bugged. It doesn't even work fully as intended like the video demonstrated. Immortalz do "die" to anything that can knock them over which is like 3/4 of the crap in the game so it's not even a true doomstack unfortunately. I wish that was patched and the immortalz were fixed so they REALLY don't die and actually work against artillery, monsters, cav, ect...

@@Chosen92378 The knocking over part is a bug in of itself, it works only when they fall from a great height and, as such, the games considering them "dead", but since the Immortalz aren't supposed to die yet, they get up and still fight, just not commanded by you. The banner of the immortalz also still works, unless it no longer makes sure that models don't die under a certain discipline. That's the only part that truly matters of that banner anyway. That was the "patched" part. Also it isn't the first time that CA "patches" something that they consider too strong, even if it's how it supposed to work.

The bug was triggered from anything that would knock them over, including normal cavalry charges, monsters, and especially artillery. The bug made them as good as dead. They "could" still fight but they could only stand back up and stay frozen in place and could only attack anything that enters their range. For all intensive purposes, once they were knocked down, they were dead since they will contribute almost nothing to the fight after they get knocked down. It would be better if they maybe just ran around attacking things as if they had rampage but they don't. Anyways, it means they were never truly a doomstack. The immortalz' "doomstack" was only applicable in a situation like where the sender sent his battle to Legend where he was fighting Karaz Karak against the Dwarves where they had nothing to knock them down. Any other doomstack you could get from the greenskins is far more effective, reliable, and much less circumstance specific/niche compared to the immortalz doomstack. Warzag's savage orc or troll stacks, all giant spiders, rogue idols, Grom with nasty skulkers or gobbo archers with double shot, ect... The point is, they were really never strong or reliable enough to be considered an actual doomstack so it's just a nightmare to see them nerfing it worse than it already was. The funny thing is, the bug was reported so many years ago on the TW forums and it never got fixed because CA doing CA things. I haven't got Warhammer 3 yet but I really hope they fix it in 3 so they don't actually die as long as the leadership conditions are met.

my skarsnik campaign is at turn 79, 24 armies with over 100k in the bank, obviously less territory and -7k income. Greenskin economy is pretty good especially if you just keep on fighting and raiding as you make so much money from it while goblins are really cheap.

I think means the income per Turn of 450k per turn which does not include sacking money. Buildings cannot provide that much Income for Orcs.

What the hell does 150k from sacking have to do with anything he has over 4mil in the bank and a insane amount of income per turn which doesn’t consider looting. When the hell did the green skins get so much passive money making ability, certainly wasn’t in WH2 Also iffy game knowledge😂 says the one talking about 150k from sacking when he’s got more than 4 mil in the bank and 130k passive income. This doomstack immediately loses 2 points for not having magic. One for no magic whatsoever and one for not taking advantage of one of the better lores, Lore of Da Big Wagh. It also loses another point for not spamming leadership buffs and making full use of Grimgors Da Immortalz battle banner.

I still think these 1 entity stacks are so dumb beyond belief. Overall i love the game and what it has become, but this is just still so dumb. 19 orcs killing 5k troops, even if they were elite troops. And i know in Warhammer lore (especially 40k), there's tons of references to 1 big guy absolutely annihilating whole armies. But it still just feels so freaking dumb in this game. A game about raising armies, and you have 19 guys with heavy axes and nothing else take out an entire empire. There should be some sort of armor or health regen diminishing buff or cap so that single entities cant snowball like this. For example so when you're at 50% health regen via stacked buffs, each % further starts to be worth less. So if you're at 50% regen, and you equip a +10% regen item, you only get +6%. And when you're at 56% regen and you equip another +10% regen item, you only get 3% Same with Ward Save / Phys resistance etc (well, some SHOULD have almost max phys resistance, like cairn wraiths, but then that should diminish their other resistances) It makes zero game balance sense ot just have infinitely stackable buffs to critical stats like this. This is something other games figured out 20 years ago..
