A big bait and switch. There were some that weren’t worth a $buck or two, then there is the last 2 at least that you couldn’t buy for millions of dollars. I have seen a lot of castles around Europe that would fit your $1.00 price tag.

Is this a TTS channel? Don't say, "two ninety nine workers", the correct way of saying this is, "two hundred ninety nine workers". On another note, I do believe many if not most of the "castles" on this list are owned and would go for a few million EUROS or a few more USD. If the respective government controls the "castle", it isn't for sale, that includes the ruins.

They are probably not a dollar, I wish they were a dollar, but they are not, they are anywhere from 500k to 2 million. One reason, deals falk through is that the families that own them, (usually not the original family) want a "clawback" ie. A percentage of any money you make from creating a tea room, bed and breakfast , or any business plan. Unless you are independently wealthy and want to plunge a great deal of your money into repairs and just live in the middle of nowhere, they aren't a realistic choice.
