During gestation, the baby dies pretty quickly after the mom dies, due to her heart no longer sending valuable oxygen and nutrients to the fetus. Coffin birth is the result of a decomposing body releasing gas build-up and fluid expression. The baby was already dead when he/she was pushed out of his/her mom's decomposing body. This video makes it feel like the baby was born alive and tragically died while in the coffin.

I think that with our present Climate Crisis seeing our history like it was in many of these countries the fear of something like all this happening again doesn’t seem too far fetched. Even this week, in Spain they lost over 200 people due to mudslides and flooding. And the greedy, spiteful politicians and corporate companies still deny Climate Crisis as being a real thing! Madness.

With regard to the last chapter and the Scots history of fear of witches and witchcraft, I hope that the hosts of this channel, The Ultimate Discovery, will allow me to share a most excellent new video on this subject with their viewers. The video is called "Crone", it is by Karina Boswell, a young singer/songwriter/musician from Canada, who is herself of largely Scottish heritage. She released this video just in time for last Halloween, but I think it has much deeper cultural meaning and significance, and I hope that you will seek it out, enjoy it, and please let her know how you like it! Thanks! Great job on this video by The Ultimate Discovery channel; with most excellent content and commentary! Really well done! :)

The Tollund man here in Denmark might as well have been a criminal who was punished. Noone know and its pure speculation to say he was sacrificed in a ritual event. We dont have any strory or evidence of killing people for ritual reasons. He is dated between 405 and 384 b.c. and noone knows why he was killed and after put in the Bog.

That was my first though too. Trepanning was used to treat seizures and eclampsia would lead to seizures. They were trying to help her but couldn't and she and the baby died. I was holidaying in south Dorset in 2011, the year before the Olympic Games, and the local press said the Viking bodies were those of a Viking raiding party who were unfortunately captured by the local Saxon inhabitants. I remember reading that DNA tests were conducted on the remains and one of the bodies came from a young man who was originally from somewhere near the Arctic Circle because of what tests of his bones revealed about his life and diet.

Imagine if someone walked into a local cemetery on 5th street an started digging up the plots. We would be horrified too see these 'modern' graves being dug up and studied. In 1000 years it would be celebrated and an episode on the history show.

There is no evidence that the “massacre of the innocents” happened. Herod did have killed many people but there’s nothing to suggest wholesale slaughter of infants and toddlers. If the sewers were close to brothels then male infants would be disposed of while female children would be raised into sexual slavery just like their mothers.

I think that the two men found together in an embrace we're just close friends or neighbors. Heck they could have even been strangers... Two people were going through the most traumatic time of their lives they lost their entire families... Anyone would look for comfort in a time where it would appear the entire world would have been ending for them. So no just because two men were embracing during a time of absolute fear especially of death and we're seeking comfort from one another does not mean they were gay. You cannot assume just because it's two men hugging that they were lovers ^~^ that's my opinion.
@Seleuce
@Seleuce 3 күн бұрын
The biggest problem with the modern perspective of "gay" is the black and white view. So many today see any sign of affection of the people from the same gender as a clear sign of homoerotic feelings. Completely ignoring that there is love and there is sexual desire. It's not the same. 2 men or 2 women can deeply love, yet never sexually desire each other. And there are so many layers of love as well as of desire.

just fyi, these archaeological digs often do a number on those that work on them. More often than not, when archaeologists stumble upon human remains, even in non tragic circumstances, they cease their activities and offer a prayer relevant to their own spiritual beliefs, for the deceased. Pompeii has to be doing a number on the people who are working it.
