His maternal grandmother's family goes to King George III and Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg. I am American, but my family tree is all over theirs. I too am a direct descendant of King George III and Charlotte of Mecklenburg. Family lines go to Queen Anne, Henrietta Marie DeBourbon, her father James I, Her Husband Charles I and his son Charles II. So Harry has royal blood. I am American and have more. Oh FFS. Prince Phillip is NOT a King because he is not the Sovereign. There is no precedent within the British Monarchy, or of the 15 other nations who recognize the Monarchy, for there to be such a thing as a King Consort. In our system, a King always outranks a Queen. Therefore, when you have a female Sovereign, as we currently do, then her husband becomes the Prince Consort. When William takes the throne, Catherine will be Her Majesty The Queen. It is as simple as that. And Prince Phillip does have Royal blood. He was born a Prince of both Greece and Denmark. Catherine will become Queen Consort automatically when William becomes King. The current Queen's mother was not of royal blood and she was Queen Consort to King George VI. Widows of Kings in the UK also retain the title of Queen and are also known as the Queen Mother which means they are the widow of a monarch (Queen) and the mother of a monarch (Mother). They are obviously not Queen Regnant as only a Queen who is the monarch can be that and not a Queen through marriage to a King. All this "will she, won't she be Queen Consort?" business is mainly in relation to Camilla when Charles becomes King. When Charles married Camilla there was a lot of public anger that two adulterers, both of whom divorced and one who is to be head of the Church of England married and so people were saying Camilla should never be Queen. This doesn't really make sense though as the two of them are at fault so either neither of them gets a title or both of them do. It can't be right that only one of them that gets some kind of punishment for what people believe they are both guilty of.

You are correct to say it isn't an official title, it just is what she was - a Queen by marriage and not by birthright, that's what Queen Consort means. This happened in Belgium in the 90`s when Queen Sofia of Belgium became regent for a short while after her husbond died, and they didn`t have an heir apparent. The same thing happened in Thailand in the 50`s when the Queen became regent after her husbond became ill. Her title was later changed to Queen Regent after that. There have been a couple of King consorts in history. There was one in Scotland. He was simply called the King. The only time when consort has been used in an official title was when Queen Victoria made Prince Albert, the Prince Consort. That`s the only time the word "Consort" has been an official title. Kate, Dutchess of Cambridge is a beautiful and talented woman who is raising 3 children and at the same time doing her duties to Her Majesty. As for Megan Markle she is equally beautiful and telented in her own way. And to all those nutters who are hating Markle for not "behaving like a royal" its cuz she's new to all these but she's doing her best how to present herself infront of other royals. 1) Prince PhiLIp (one L) does have Royal blood. His line is from Greece, but The last Royal family of Greece was from The Danish Royal family. Also Prince Philip is also a great great grandson of Queen Victoria of Great Britain so he has plenty of Royal Blood. He just chose to renounce it when he married Princess Elizabeth (Later HM The Queen) 2) The Duchess of Cambridge is the legal wife of the Duke of Cambridge so when he becomes King, she becomes Queen. Check your history, we have had commoners as Queen Consorts. Sorry to sound snobbish but these American companies that produce these videos do not check their history before stating their so called facts. Right I am getting of my soap box and watching the rest of this video. So far have only watched 51 seconds and have spotted those errors. :-)

You are correct about having commoners as Queen Consorts, although I believe you have to go back to Henry VIII. Queen Elizabeth was the daughter of an Earl, Queen Mary was Princess May of Teck, Queen Alexandra was a European princess, etc...

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh and his wife Elizabeth II are second cousins once removed through Christian IX and also third cousins as they are both great-great-grandchildren of Victoria. So he has british royal blood too.

Thank you for the education on the lineage. Very involved in the it. I hope William and Kate stays as happy as they appear to be now. Kate seems to be a very mature person and so beautiful. Most of the duties will belong to the King. Kate is the wife. She can help, but end of the day William is in charge. The way this is presented, it sounds like Kate is the ruler.
