Technically, no, they can't. The author admitted that he made a mistake when he put that in the comic. Just think of it as if she was hanging on something else, not her lightsaber. It might get fixed in the TPB but who knows.

I read this in less than a day and it was an easy read and super interesting. The explanations of the force both light and dark sides and the Jedi and Padawan perspectives using their different abilities were really cool.

The junior books are probably safe to skip but I definitely wouldn't pass on the YA books. Unlike junior novels, YA novels do not have anything to do with reading level. They're called YA because the main protagonists are young adults and they're usually coming of age stories.

I’m loving this book so far. Feels very mature compared to other Middle Grade Books. I wasn’t a fan of Ireland’s other Star Wars book but this one was great!

This book isn’t out for us in the UK yet, amazon pushed it back to mid February, it was originally going to be the sixth January after light of the jedi, anybody know why this happened?

Comic and books can be called canon but I’ve seen them become retconned or replaced more than not. Especially when it comes to Star Wars.

In Star Wars, usually visual media takes precedence over written material. Depends mostly on the authors/writers I think. But since the High Republic is all written for now, and has planned phases, I wouldn't worry much about it's "canon" standing. They're really making a big push with this era.

A Test of Courage apparently doesn't even release here until the 18th of February. It doesn't even come up on Audible and I can't find any site that lets me buy/download it. Into the Dark says February 18th too. It's extremely annoying waiting for something others already have.

They still have to evacuate a bad with thousands of people and the First Order had to regroup after the destruction of Starkiller. Also, Achto is implied to have a weird timeframe similar to Mortis and Dagobah. Meaning time passes faster on the planet than the rest of the galaxy.

No those are energy-whips, they aren't like lightsaber, they can't cut limbs or stuff, it's basically a normal whip but it can burn you with elettricity

What is it with Darth Kathie's projects deliberately trying to avoid using any well known Lucas era places or people? I fully appreciate that there is a lot of worlds in the galaxy but if you compare the Star Wars galaxy to a real country there is always only a handful of notable places where all the countries activity centres. The lightwhip is a fine addition to the canon but this is by no means the first time it has appeared since one was used by a trandoshan slaver in Clone Wars. The repeated Galaxies Edge references are also sickening as it shows these High Republic stories are deliberately designed to double as marketting material for the Disney theme park. Just tell a damn story!
