WATCH IT SELL! | EBAY LISTING WHILE YOU WATCH | ANTIQUE VINTAGE RESALE
This month's bonus video is a fun one, where childhood favorites, fun vintage fashion jewelry, unusual corporate references and sweet, stylish home goods all make an appearance! One of the items is actually banned from being sold on eBay-unless you're imaginative.
We hold back 20 antique and vintage items each month for this special event, where we take a deeper dive into the origin story of each piece, talk about what they might fetch and why people want them, then list them on eBay while you watch.
This is a great way to learn the current market for various antique and vintage items, learn more about your favorite collectibles (or things you haven't seen in the past), and even have a chance to purchase. Once the video ends, you can follow the pieces on eBay, see how they fare and what the market thinks of them.
We're very grateful to our Level Two members for their sponsorship, which makes this monthly bonus video possible. Level Two members get early access with no ads, so if you wish to see this the moment it drops, click here ➜ bit.ly/32dfTcz to find out more about memberships!

I was just talking about those klacker ball things yesterday. How painful they were! We used to show goats at the state fair in Puyallup, yes, I was an award-winning goat showing 5 year old, and they used to give those klackers out as fair prizes for games. We showed goats all over the state, and I slept in the pen with my Melissa. So we played a lot of those fair games, and we all had huge bruised lumps all over our bodies from trying to master the klackers. And of course, my big brothers using them as flying weapons. Good times, good times. #1974

Hi George, I have a set of Jarts too! I can't quite bring myself to sell them yet. I also had a pair of clackers but they were stolen out of my office at work about 10 years ago. :( I mean, who would think to steal a pair of clackers out of a grown woman's desk? Anyways, loved your video!

@eliseintheattic9697
@eliseintheattic9697 2 жыл бұрын
Ha! Jarts and Clackers, I had them both. I think the reason you aren't very good with clackers is because you're not doing it right. You don't swing them back and forth or whirl them over your head. You bounce your hand up and down until they each swing to the opposite side and clack back together. Then when you get good at that you start going faster and they swing all the way up and clack at the top too. Which is why they were banned, because every parent wants glass balls clashing together at high speeds inches from their children's faces. It's a miracle any of us survived.

Wow!! Growing up is kids (ages 10-18), we played Jarts at all our huge family camp outs! I don’t remember anyone getting hurt, but of course, we were cautioned and supervised!! We also played a game we called “Stretch”! We each started the game by facing each other, get together, standing straight. We had an open scout knife, and reached out to the other person’s side, left or right, and threw the knife into the ground hard enough for it to stick. Wherever the knife stuck in the ground, your opponent had to stretch their leg out to the knife, and get their turn. We took turns sticking the knife in the ground until the opponent stretched so far, they fell over. Of course, the blade of the knife was in the ground. No one ever got hurt!! Again, we were well surprised, and it was loads of fun!! We were great kids in the 60’s, but once again, well supervised and incredibly loved!! 🥰😃❤️. Lots of great memories!!

The neighbor kids all wanted to play Jarts, but their parents took them away ("they're dangerous!") so they invented a version of 'Stretch' using a screwdriver...which ended up planted in the forehead of one of the neighbor boys.

Just watching this today. How did you fare on Ebay with the Jarts. They pulled mine saying it was illegal to sell them. People would list just the box and the buyer would write and ask if there was a gift included in the box.LOL I ended up selling two "empty Boxes" until they caught on.

Of course, we were always supervised, but we were also really responsible young ppl, who were aware of the danger of them! Thanks for bringing back great memories!!!

Very interesting about the Bimini Lampwork, I always have assumed those things were made in glass blowing kiosks at the mall. And my grandparents totally had the Jarts for us grandkids but we never got hurt. Funny we never did dumb things with Jarts like we did with other things. LOL.

I truly think we were tougher back in the day lol the wall pocket with the bird and the bow was sweet, and the rhinestone "Juliana"? pin was beautiful....I love vintage rhinestone pins, to me, they are miniature works of art. Well, I guess you have to see the real thing a few times. Omg, fabulous chenille. I sold one of those 20 years ago! Mine wasn't fitted at the corners. Loved the vintage toys too. Geez!!! Thank you. I just bought your dramady earrings, but... Those CLACKERS: You need to bounce them straight up and down to get them to clack sideways. Someone has probably already told you that but maybe not? :) They also look to me to be two separate sets put together... One string is longer than the other and I never saw them with two different colored balls like yours, but maybe? Anyway, equalize the string length and then just go straight up and down... You can do it!!!

@@TheAntiqueNomad I can't remember if it was Crest or Pepsident toothpaste. But I really had to beg for it. Mothers budget was tight, but she knew that I really liked cars better than dolls ( I guess you figured out I was a tomboy ). She gave in & Daddy never found out. :~) PS. I still have that car !

George I think I have a Juliana brooch, I hope I spelled that right. Since I'm not selling right now but due to an illness I want these out in the Market at the same time that they're popular and you seem to be doing very well so I'm going to send it to you if I can find out how to also send the clock that I promised you and some other items that you have to identify for me their man things that were back in the early 1900s I believe that will be awesome for your collection I hope that you will be as happy with him as I am as soon as I can get to the post office I will get them out. I just love watching your videos they're so informative and lovely to watch.
