I love this beautiful sister! I had a gym injury to my pudendal nerve left side and hip surgery in 2014 and was bedridden for 4 years. I had sexual trauma and my family never heard my voice when it happened in junior high. I worked out and was an exercise physiologist but I always had no flexibility in my hips due to trauma. Now I have set myself free of the people who harmed and never supported me. Namaste, beautiful beings of light. Love yourself and always listen to your body because it keeps score.

I have hip issues and they were hurting so bad. I finally got some time today and just finished your video. I almost fell asleep at the end. I keep seeing “somatic yoga” all over social media. I decided to try. I’m overweight, I feel out of shape and in menopause. This was a lovely workout. I tried your somatic one after it was recommended by a friend after 2 recent but very close together deaths in the family that badly affected my entire nervous system, and it has really helped so thank you:) I don’t know how it works but it has! Now I’m also trying out the pilates yoga workouts and getting stronger. I’m trying to guess how best to combine them through the week… I might actually need advice from you on that front and I might need more soon so I can keep going!!

I have very little mobility. My range of motion limits have begun to scare me a bit. So I decided let's take a beginner yoga session.. I had to modify many of the movements because of my hips and knees limits. But I definitely broke a sweat. Thank you for the time

Thank you for sharing your experience. Modifying is the way to do it and you'll soon begin to notice that your mobility will increase and you'll feel more comfortable doing certain poses and one day you'll realise how far you got. You can do it!🫶

Thank you so much for this class. I have heard so much about how good somatic yoga can be for women who are perimenopausal so i thought i would give it a try. Can i as,k i was so overwhelmed by the movements i burst out crying in the middle of the class! I did not realise how much the movements affected my body! Is this normal? . I will definitely keep going with this but just wanted to share my first experience with you. I really enjoyed this overall.

Hi Reshma, thank you checking before hand. I would recommend you do another somatic class a few times first. Here is the link: 15 Minute Morning Somatic Yoga I Yoga for Beginners kzbin.info/www/bejne/n4PTgX-ci55kb5o Reason being is that you should strengthen the muscles which support the spine, the core too in order to take pressure off the spinal muscles, and give your neck a good stretch, this video provides all the above. Be gentle and mindful the first few times you do this video and let me know how you get on. Always listen to your body and if you feel pain, reduce the intensity (so reduce range of motion). Do smaller movements, don't over stretch... When you've done it a few times say 1 week, you can move onto the video you asked about.

Hi Mandi, it isn't a mat they are gym floor boards that I cut to fit the mat. They are fantastic, it allows us to film everywhere.
