And it was also lower, the building was a single story agricultural building which isn’t much higher than a single story home. And at 50-60 meters away, a building that low doesn’t give you much of an advantage. Especially with the bleachers, big screen, and other backdrops behind and around Trump. The SS got lazy on this one, but that is looking back with 20/20 hindsight. As for his training, I would say that he didn’t have all that much experience. Grazing Trump was more luck than anything else. His other shots were off by a lot, striking people that were several meters behind Trump. And I would guess that he got there by driving a vehicle. He accessed the roof using a ladder on the side of the building. It was actually an enclosed walkway between two buildings and it couldn’t be seen if you were looking from the rally stage or crowd. One report I saw said that the warning that the SS got was from someone seeing the shooter climbing up the ladder. And the person wasn’t in the crowd by the rally, but on the other side of the building. And what does it matter if he did or didn’t have a driver’s license? Like that is the only way he could be identified?

Theres plenty of speculation on to how the gunman was able to do this. The biggest question i would have is how did this guy get to the roof of a building, well within rifle range, without being noticed. As someone who has worked with the Secret Service, specifically on VIPPSA missions (presidential detail), one of the very first things that would be secured is high vantage points (buildings/roofs/windows) that overlook the event. Either way, I'm willing to bet the lead agent in charge of that security detail was fired.

You can see in the video the Secret Service snipers were looking at the shooter through their scopes before he started shooting. They obviously saw he was armed, was not law enforcement and yet they waited until after he fired his weapon to take him out? Were they ordered to wait until he fired to see if he was successful in assassinating Trump before taking him out? The Secret Service had been warned a gunman was on that roof by many spectators and they did nothing until after he fired his weapon? Something about this whole situation stinks to the mountain tops. Shit isn't adding up. They are saying he was a "lone wolf" gunman. That is basically the same thing they said about Lee Harvey Oswald after he shot Kennedy.

It's very difficult to secure these random places that Trump's team chooses for the rallies. Most other candidates choose areas that are well secured and known by the secret service. This was basically in the middle of nowhere near a factory. The guy managed to climb on the roof of the factory. He could have easily been hiding in the machinery or somewhere and the secret service missed him because they are unfamiliar with the area.
