I found the word order for God The son.. right here and Ezra 3:9 in the KJV...Then Jeshua with his sons and brothers, Kadmiel with his sons, and the sons of Judah, arose as one to oversee those working on the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brethren the Levites...😂😂😂 I used to believe this trinitarian mystery

So you said find one place in the "New Testament" where the greek word theos is used that references the trinity god. In Acts 17: 19-23, Paul uses the word theos to refer to the "unknown god" or more specifically the god that is unknown because it doesn't exist. That absolutely references the triniterian god that you cannot know because it doesn't exist. You owe me $200!
@billschlegel1 Жыл бұрын
Interesting answer. But I think to collect the $200 you would have to be able to show that the Athenians unknown god was a three-person-in-one god, not a single-self god. Plus, I'm pretty sure that at least I imply, if I don't state directly, that I'm looking for a place where the God of the Bible, the one true God, is a triune being represented by the word "God/Theos". But thanks for entering the contest!

All Trinitarians do not hear the words of יהושע (Jesus). He said his father is ‘the only true God’, that means that any way in which Jesus is ‘god’ is not ‘the true God’. Shalom Bill and thank you for your work.

As bad as trinitarian arguments are, I don't think counter arguments from pronouns are great either. People frequently use words inconsistently or ambiguously, or just less precisely at some times than others. We can personify whole countries as "she" without being wrong if the country is not literally a single female person.
@billschlegel1 Жыл бұрын
We can understand why something like a nation/country, made up of a collective of people, can be referred to with a singular pronoun. But the Bible does not use the word "God" to mean a collective of persons, "one group". When talking about the one true God, and how many persons He is (or they are), we need clarity. Either all those pronouns in the Bible which refer to the one true God mean something, or they don't. When, e.g., the Psalmist declared, "You are my God" (Psa. 86:2) he used a masculine singular pronoun. He wasn't confused. And this is the case thousands of times in the Scripture. Masculine singular pronouns, masculine singular verbs, etc. Neither the God who revealed himself ("I brought you out of Egypt - have no other gods in my face") nor the biblical authors who declared Him and appealed to Him were confused. The pronoun confusion is one reason many Trinitarians think and believe like "oneness, modalists". They know the God of the Bible is He.

@@billschlegel1 Good point. Sort of related: it would be interesting if you'd talk more about modalism.

In Acts 15:8 God refers to the Triune God. "And God, who knows the heart" All three Persons of the Triune God know the hearts of all. This is something God "alone" knows (1 Kings 8:39). The Father (Jeremiah 17:10) The Son (Revelation 2:23) The Holy Spirit (Romans 8:26) You can keep your money, but just renounce the heresy you currently embrace.
@transfigured3673 Жыл бұрын
That's a really bad example. Why didn't you include the whole verse? "And God, who knows the heart, bore witness to them, by giving them the Holy Spirit just as he did to us" Acts 15:8 (ESV) It's clear that "God" in that verse can not include the Holy Spirit because it mentions the "God" gives them the holy spirit. God/He is clearly someone other than the holy spirit that was given.
@kardiognostesministries8150 Жыл бұрын
@@transfigured3673 That is a really bad way of denying the Triune God. The Holy Spirit gives Himself to those who are Christians - the Spirit gives life (2 Cor. 3:6). Many can blaspheme and resist Him, but those who "receive" Him are those whom He gives Himself to. Not surprisingly you totally dodged the fact that only "God" knows the hearts of all and all three Persons of God have this knowledge.
@petromax4849 Жыл бұрын
Even if Solomon was right to say that _only_ God knew the hearts of men in his time, that does not imply that no-one other than God could come to have that ability in later times.

@@kardiognostesministries8150 and yet we still don’t have ONE verse that says “the Holy Spirit is God, the Son is God and they are co-equal and co-eternal with God the Father, yet still one God”. 🧐 Holy Spirit knows the hearts because it is the Spirit of the Father Himself in our lives, the Son knows the hearts because God the Father GAVE the risen Lord Jesus this ability given that he is “the head of the church” and by the obvious fact that God the Father GAVE Jesus all power and authority in heaven and earth. Knowing the hearts of men would come with such high authority and power Jesus was given. If the risen Jesus “now lives because of God the Father” (2 Cor. 13:4), he also is given the ability to execute the authority and power of his God and his Father. That is the meaning of the Son of man sitting at the right hand OF God: Jesus given all power and Jesus placed above all things with the exception, of course, being God the Father. That doesn’t sound co-equal one bit my friend!

As a recent subscriber of yours and “young” Biblical Unitarian, I came across a passage in Isaiah 6:1 where Isaiah said he “saw the Lord. “ In verse 5, he saw “The LORD…” So, #1 if no man has ever seen GOD who did Isaiah see? #2 why would “the Lord” later be described as “The LORD?” You may send the reply to my email if you like

A vision, not literal
@billschlegel1 Жыл бұрын
My friend, Troy Salinger, has written several blog articles on "No man has ever seen God". I'll post a link to the first one. As bobbywolfe mentioned, most of the "seeing" by OT prophets is in visions or dreams. Like Numbers 12:6: "And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream." It is difficult to know why Isaiah switched from Adonai to Yahweh. There might not be a reason, as "Adonai" is a title for Israel's God, Yahweh. There is a difference be Adonai (whom Isaiah saw in 6:1) and Adoni (or adoni). Adoni simply means "master, lord, sir". letthetruthcomeoutblog.wordpress.com/2023/04/17/no-man-has-ever-seen-god-appearances-of-god-in-the-tanakh-part-1/
