Olympics have been in Italy: 1956 Winter (Cortina d'Ampezzo), 1960 Summer (Rome), 2006 Winter (Torino). They will be in Italy again in the 2026 Winter Olympics (Milano Cortina). (They would have been in Cortina d'Ampezzo in the 1944 Winter Olympics, but those were cancelled due to WWII.)

Say what you will about the Civilization series, they get good compositions out of Christopher Tin. For those who don't know, the lyrics come from a poem by Leonardo da Vinci about flight.
