I literally just came across this website today and found the generous instructions given by this gentlemen very instructive. Thus, it was with sadness that I read that he had so recently died, at a young age. He was obviously a decent and kind man, whose loss will be felt by family and friends. Sincere condolences.

I have incorporated 200 rep workouts for all the body parts (specific days of course). It really brings out some definition after a couple of weeks but John is absolutely right that it is not a long term program. Thanks John for showing us the way, you have enriched my workouts with another concept and now my muscles don't know what to expect on any certain day.

Thank you.. I have always had shoulder and sometimes elbow issues from overuse. When I was younger I was working in concrete construction and lifting weights. I have learned so much from you on how to enjoy lifting heavy and avoiding shoulder pain. It’s the little adjustments to my form and proper recovery before tearing back into it again. Those spider crawls are awesome also. Seriously John I really appreciate you.

I've been doing sets of 20, thanks to Ryan Humiston's videos. But, your tips have made me change that up. Something I will start doing, to modify it after a few weeks of use, will be to begin with a couple sets of heavy/failure primarily to get the white fibers kickstarted before killing everything else. Thanks for the ideas!

higher reps with lower weight always feel the muscle working better. you can get a better squeeze and slower on the negative cuz your not holding this huge amount of weight... i tend to lean more toward this kind of training now for legs too. much easier on the body, the only thing i still like to lift heavier is shoulder press, seated bench machine, bent over rows and tricep pushdowns... everything else can be worked out lighter weight with higher reps... i did find my legs were bigger when i was lifting heavier before but i'm not competing in anything. and it's just hard on you over time right

Like John said, if your shoulder joints are feeling hammered from heavy weights or short on time, looks like a great change up to throw in every few weeks. Been doing some higher rep workouts in my garage during lockdown and my shoulder joints are thanking me. But I'm also getting a fierce pump doing high reps and multiple drop sets.

Have watched your other 200 resp videos but you answered the main question I had. Why not use this all the time. Cause it hurts so bad. In my case, that's normal. Shoulders are crap so pain is always there. But now it's the muscle that's controlling the pain and not the joints. Muscsle pain will go away during recovery. Since the muscles tires slowly, you can really feel how it changes. Gonna keep doing this system until you show something better for me. How great it is to walk out of the gym feeling fried but without the terrible joint pain. Thanks!!!
