I'm obsessed with Sitting Cuties to a point where I will actually return some if they look a little botched. Every plush you receive has some slight variation to it. so there might be a better-looking version of the Pokemon you get and it's hard to judge just how good some of them were made. I went through a couple of Nosepass until I found one that looked like it had edges, whereas most others I saw were very round. My Qwilfish is sadly missing stuffing in one of its spikes. I've gone through three Meganiums that differed in size. So for anyone that is new to these plushies, just wanted to give you a heads up.

Aw. I thought the vulpix was perfect. The fact that they made the tail so nice and accurate looking is part of that makes me really love it. I've seen some vulpix plushies where they make the tail look weird. And the best example that comes to mind for me is the build a bear vulpix and alola vulpix they made recently, where their tails are like a weird fused-together flat mass, like a beaver tail. Also i find persian to be really strange looking, like its head is too big compared to its body. It's like that for a few of these, but persian especially lol

The reason that they can't use the "Butterfree style" for Venomoth is because Butterfree is balanced by its lower legs making a sort of 'tripod' with its bottom, while Venomoth unfortunately doesn't have any lower legs. It is simply not anatomically possible for this Pokemon to sit on a flat surface. The only way I could really see it sitting is if they made the wings be stuffed plush rather than flat felt, maybe with wires in the lower wings to balance it, but that would have made them inconsistent with the other bug Pokemon wings.

Personally, for the sitting cuties with weird quirks I ended up modifying them myself to make them stand up straighter and keep them from look wonky. I only really had to do that to charizard, typhlosian, vaporeon, and absol. My mewtwo, flygon, and scyther just look great on their own. But my lapras looks straight prestine, no flaws, it brings me great joy. My bulbasaur, squirtle and charmander turned out weird in ways I can't fix like stitching placement so I just try not to think about it.

I have two 100% handmade plushes made for me by a friend for my birthday two years in a row, one of Lucario and one of Riolu. Lucario is about 28 inches tall and Riolu is about 20 inches or so, and both of them look better than ANY plush I've seen in stores or even for sale by Pokemon themselves.
