This literally just happened to my f350. I looked inside and mine is broken in the exact same place. So thank you for this.

Did you ever make a video repairing the shift column because mine broke in the same exact spot
@ProjectShopFl3 жыл бұрын
what part? the one in the video?
@blackisback743 жыл бұрын
@@ProjectShopFl yes you mentioned you might fix the broken shift tube and I wanted to know how you did it assuming you did. It looks like pot metal which means can't be welded so I'm curious how you fix it because mine broke same way. I ended up just buying a new one but now I believe my trans range sensor is so sticky that's why my shift to broken the first place. Problem is that I am having a hell of a time trying to get it off the trans, so I keep soaking it in PB blaster.

I forgot to take the ignition out before I installed the new shifter tube and now I can’t get it to start. Any suggestions? Why does it need to be removed in the first place? Thanks
@ProjectShopFl3 жыл бұрын
Its been a while but I don't know how you did that with out removing the ignition switch. lol

@@ProjectShopFl I just dropped the column and started taking it apart. The plastic warping the column was already removed but after I installed the new one the key just turns with no pressure at all like something isn’t catching

Did you have a hard time getting those 2 bolts in the back on with the spring
@ProjectShopFl4 жыл бұрын
I don’t think so, it’s been a while but I’m pretty sure it went back together as easy as it came out.

Thats one way of doing it but its hard to determine the condition with used stuff.

Why the comment of the word sad in your video when you showed where it was made
@ProjectShopFl2 жыл бұрын
Because an American truck and its parts should be made in America, not "Made in America with global parts". I believe things should be made locally. More local jobs, not just truck parts, but food clothes and most things by small family owned business. Not just in the USA but every country should do the same.
