All car tests should be (a) conducted at the full capacity of the vehicle, passengers + say 500kg luggage in the boot (b) with a light trailer (c) with a roof rack/box 100kg. As we saw with the dieselgate scandal, tests need to be of the real world preformance. Having owned several XC70s, they are awesome cars.

What you described is extreme not real world
@jacopo9522 жыл бұрын
most cars won't even support 500 kg in boot, or a 100kg roof rack. what you are describing is at the very least an uncommon scenario, one which is not representative of real-life usage

I agree and we need to move forward from just simple 3 point lap and shoulder seat belts to full harness type seat belts used in rally cars and fighter pills. Also design all seats to stay in place and not move forward at all
@Tomm9y2 жыл бұрын
@@jacopo952 The figures need to be relvant for the vehicle. Look at the lightweight small minvans at holiday time, overloaded, yet sold a spacious family vehicles. The XC70 has a higher capacity than many and has the values stated in the handbook, etc. There's no point testing for a small % of the loading limits.

@@georgevavoulis4758 I cannot tell if you are serious or just joking. People are having a hard time accepting the 3-point seatbelt. a racing harness would be a very bad idea for a number of reason. #1 practicality #2 safety. Racing harnesses are safe when they are working in conjunction with other safety elements. head restrain, helmet, roll cage or at least a very rigid safety cell. additionally drivers and passengers alike would have to be trained in wearing them as well as getting free of those in the event of an accident. overarching bad idea. Seats should also move (or deform accordingly), no seat should be 100% rigid.

Oh, he looks fine. Shit, that almost looks safe enough to do it for fun. Although, being 6'6", my knees don't have a very positive outlook in any car, really.

по меткам можно будет высчитать скорость если вдруг оборудование крякнет, задняя дверь пластик на этих вольво, да и никакого смысла в фонарях и прочем нет, многие машины так разобраны

Due to the equipment being so heavy, parts are removed to ensure the vehicle is as close to the unladen weight plus two occupants.
