It just all came together for the 2001 team in this one, highlighted by Andrew Zow having the game of his life. It was what some of us now refer to as a "Stephen Garcia Moment." Unfortunately, Bama did not keep this form at all for the rest of 2001, although they did just enough to win both of their remaining games and continued to build momentum for the 10 win season in 2002.

This game was strange because of how Auburns usual weird voodo magic in JHS was completely absent. Everything that seems to go well for them usually in JHS iron bowl games just wasn't there.

I know this period of Tide history doesn't measure up to the Bama standard, but I loved watching Galloway, Beard, Milons, and the rest of the guys do their thing. They played their hearts out even though they were under coached for a large part of their time at the Capstone.

I remember winning a newspaper contest when I was kid to be on the sidelines for the 2nd quarter for this game... Got to go out and retrieve the kickoff tee when Auburn scored in the 2nd quarter

That was a VERY fun trip to Auburn with some friends who are Tigers fans. I sat on the home side with them and I made them stay until the clock ticked down to all zeros even though they wanted to leave WAY before then lol ! GREAT memories ! RTR

This is top 5 of my favorite Iron Bowls ever. We just came out of nowhere and smacked the Barn in the mouth.
