Peugeot Boxer 2.8 HDI / Fiat Ducato JTD 2001 OBD Fault Code Reading and Clearing with Creader VIII / 123
This engine does NOT use ODBII instead it has a 3-pin (2-wire) diagnostic connector in the inner wing. I have tried a range of scanners including the FIAT ECU Scan but have only had success reading DTC codes with the CReader and clearing them with cheaper OBDII devices from ebay.
There are 2 videos on this. I hope they are of some help to you.
PARTS USED:
1) FIAT 3-Pin to ODB2 Adapter purchased from ebay for £4
2) Modified ELM 327 (specifically for FIAT/Alfa/Lancia) supplied by Ebay seller UK-Diagnostics for £16.95
3) NOT USED In this video but very useful (see other video) Free Version of FIAT ECU SCAN software downloaded from www.multiecuscan.net/
When connecting you 3-Pin to ODB2 adapter you do NOT need to connect the negative lead.

Hi thanks for the video, do you know if you can read the immobiliser information on this also? I have 2002 ducato motorhome and I'm immobiliser is stuck on and need to see if the engine ecu is communicating with the immobiliser module. 👍

If this thread is still live - can anyone tell me what the fault code that appears below the handbrake light is? Mine comes on when turning and go backs off started this week ? Looks a bit like a log bottle and fan symbol , all I can think of that it looks like

Hi. Dashboard layouts change over time so it's important to describe the symbol. If it is a squar(ish) bottle with a fan inside it then it is most likely the "low Coolant level" warning. The sensor for this will most likely be on the coolant reservoir cap or the side of the coolant bottle. For info I lot of warning lamps light up when you initially turn on the ignition so you can see that the bulb is working.
