2001 Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers went 9-7 in the 2001 season which featured The Bucs returning to the playoffs for a third consecutive season but unfortunately losing to the Philadelphia Eagles 31-9 in the Wild Card round.

It was so unfair that a clown like Gruden won that Super Bowl. Tony Dungy and Rich McKay did a great job putting the franchise together. He was there at the end and got credit. In a few years Tampa was back to being mediocre under Gruden's regime

What in the... this video is edited in a way that makes 2001 look like Jon Gruden coached them. Also, I was never a big fan of these NFL films always glancing over the heartaches of the season. The missed field goal in the first Chicago game was killer. Keyshawn's 106 catches and only one touchdown should have been highlighted in the Lions game for that was, I believe, fourth down and Key had zero touchdowns at that point. Tony Dungy being on the hot seat should have been mentioned more. Warrick Dunn? Where was he in these highlights? The change from Shaun King to Brad Johnson was never mentioned. There were a lot of story-lines for the 2001 season and they just pretended that they never happened. Overall just a very poor summation of the 2001 season. But I do want to thank you for posting this! It is still cool to be able to see highlights of this up and down season.

Interesting.... Jon Gruden was still the Head Coach at the Oakland Raiders in 2001. How is this 2001 when some of this is 2002?

Cause they showed clips of the Bucs introducing Gruden as their head coach FOR 2002. Dungy was still the head coach in 2001.

Gruden is the reason we were a one hit wonder, if Tony didn't get the shaft, we would have had alot more success. Gruden ran shit like a dictator. Tony was and is still class. One hell of a man, and mentor. I have had the fortunate chance to meet him, and walked away a better man for having done so!
