In this video I replace an automatic serpentine belt tension in a 2002 Honda Civic SI with a k20a3 engine. This will be similar on other cars with the K series engines.

Thank you for this very informative video. I broke my pivot bolt on the tensioner but am ordering a new one and somne biter sockets... What type of radio is in your car? I am looking to replace my stock. Yours looked super nice. Thanks again.

Hi, really informative video. question, could I just replace the pulley only vs changing the whole Auto-Tensioner assembly? The tensioner seems to be holding good tension on the belt. Would save a few $$. Do you know if the Auto Tensioner fail very often, or just mostly the pulley bearing itself? Thanks

Initially my pulley failed and then a couple years later the auto tensioner started to fail and make noise. I would guess by how many aftermarket replacements are on the market that it is somewhat of a common thing to fail. I do also have a video on replacing the pulley on my channel. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d5-0eYKFj6uqd7M

You had me until you said you needed to unbolt the engine mount and support it with a jack… it’s absolutely pointless to even touch that mount. Once you take the pulley off the tensioner you can reach the bolt in the back. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

I bought the jdm k20a3 and swap it because I blew the usdm k20a3 it came with power steering so I swap it for my old pallet and tried using my old belt but won't fit now
