From the outside the GT-A differs from a GSR: GTA White paint is pearl, GSR is solid white GTA Wheels are polished, GSR are painted silver GTA Clear indicators in headlights, GSR has orange GTA Clear taillights, GSR has red GTA optioned the bonnet, bumper vents and large spoiler available to the GSR as standard

wow someone really took care of that car, looks immaculate except for the burns and smoke. plenty of reasons why someone may not be able to drive manual like disabilities or vets with war injuries, hopefully this one is going to a good home! I also like the subtle look to it, I'm sure it's going to surprise a lot of people!!!

Afghan War? War against ISIL? Here's something that was in recent news; foxtrotalpha.jalopnik.com/the-history-behind-canadas-record-breaking-sniper-kill-1796554416 OT: I am considered to be incomplete paralyzed, no use of my left leg, I can only drive automatic equipped vehicle now. I am not looking to import the sedan EVO, but when the CT9W GT-A becomes eligible I'll be importing one. The other automatic equipped EVO you were wondering about.

Patrick White Of course, it was only a joke! I am fully aware of the Canadian involvement in the war on terror. Well, not until I saw American Sniper some years back, got curious, and read about the three longest confirmed kills in the world: a Canadian soldier, Chris Kyle, and an American soldier during the Vietnam War. Anyhoo, if I was gonna buy an automatic Evo, I agree, I'd rather have the wagon rather than the sedan!

My friend loves Evos and since we live in Houston its difficult to daily drive a manual car with a heavy clutch in start-stop traffic, now that i know a Auto Evo 7 exists, i bet the moment these are Legal he is going to import one, just for daily, and have his other manual Evos for fun. Thanks Derek for showing me this.

I guess Mitsubishi wanted to fill the gap of the EC5A Galant VR4 automatic since it's production stopped around the time this became available. When Mitsubishi had a ton of money to blow they made an enthusiast version of everything.

people will fill the comments section with "ohh its an auto it must be shit" i have owned a GT-a and i currently own a MY08 evo 10, of course the 10's gearbox is a million miles ahead when it comes to change times over the GT-a but a evo 10 will run you about 40 to 45 thosand australian dollars, while you can pick up a GT-a for just over 7 thosand dollars, its not a car to be written off as being crap becuase its an older auto its still a very very awesome car and still when driving feels like a evo, im acturally considering buying another for my girlfreind so i have an excuse to get one again.

Yeah it sucks that the GTA has a smaller turbo and it's missing the vents and spoiler but in Australia it's the only evolution that exempt from the provisional licence laws (novice) so that's why I'm watching videos on it And what I've found is the GTA is pretty rare, almost as rare as the wagons but not quite

Hi Derrick! Love your content, your a funny guy! "Headliners are sensitive...... just like me....." 😂😂 Quick question do you think Japanese drivers take better care of their cars in general? And specifically do you find they will run fast cars into the ground like a Subaru belonging to a frat boy? I guess what I'm asking is are cars generally treasured, thrashed/abused or treated like the machines they are? Many people here in the U.K. see cars as just machines for transportation with needs for new oil and rubber every so often, oh how I pity them haha! PS is there a big euro market there? Do Japanese ever wanna import euro or American cars similar to us haha.

Curious. Can anyone at Pacific Coast Auto confirm that these are allowed to import to the United States? I know it isn't at the 25 year mark yet, but for some reason I heard that you can import this to the US. I am paralyzed from the waist down and the EVO 7 was one of my dream cars.

There's no legal way to import them other than wait till it turns 25 years old unless you live in Canada which has the 15 year law, I have the exact car in the video other then a different wing and color and its fun to drive and it's great for someone like you to own

Question. How much power can you put into this engine before you need to start rebuilding it? i also understand it probably differs from car to car due to the condition of it but what's the rough number??
@PacificCoastAuto
@PacificCoastAuto 3 жыл бұрын
Generally speaking, about 400 hp is what you can get without replacing the internals of the engine. Adding power is like a sliding scale. Power goes up and reliability goes down. If you want reliability to stay the same, money goes up. Tuning takes some experience to get right. Many people have regretter putting too much power into a car. The ideal tune will be different for every one.

Well, it's likely a few things 1) You can't drive a stick, LEARN! 2) You live in a major urban metroplex, traffic is a concern, never been a concern for me I drove Lorries/Class A trucks for a living once upon a time 3) The last point Derek made is valid they are cheaper, IE nobody wants one.
@PacificCoastAuto
@PacificCoastAuto 7 жыл бұрын
You are missing the most important point - Other people are not you and have different determiners for why they buy cars. I too would never buy an auto Evo, but that doesn't mean other people are wrong for buying them.
@bonifacijus11
@bonifacijus11 7 жыл бұрын
i would also want an auto EVO, just like this one here (which is a brilliant car)..or any other automatic-gearboxed-car in essence, especially when it's a lot cheaper, like in this case..and when you buy an automatic, you can expect a car's engine to be in many many times better condition, than it having a manual gearbox, cos there's a great credibility that it was driven "milder" (than you'd expect from a manual car, and especially a car like this), and even if it was driven hard, its still not the same, cos it wasn't bounced like crazy/insane on a revlimiter not even once, so in most cases the engine is in a better (or a lot better) condition than it is in a manual gb driven car, unless the driver was a complete idiot and didn't care of engine at all, didn't change oil and smth like that, but that's also applicable to a manual car..and most of the times not only the engine, but body, chassis, suspension and the rest of the car would be in a better condition..that's why you buy an auto - if you're wise, and if it's not a problem for you to do the small things such as changing/swapping an auto gearbox into a manual one, or changing bonnet/hood, instrument cluster, pedals or something like that..so i'd buy an auto only..always..(*being sure that needed parts are available for manual gb conversion)..point.
