Last cup race without Jamie McMurray until Atlanta 2019.

This race started a streak of 17 top 10s at Martinsville for Jimmie Johnson. It took Johnson 25 races to finish outside of the top 12 at Martinsville if you take out his first race at Martinsville.

If someone else was behind Kurt Busch at the end, I don't think he would have been so fortunate as he was, but Benson did get his in the end.

This was the last race for the old Victory lane at Martinsville. From 2003-Present, Victory Lane is at the Start/Finish Line.

The front nose on that pontiac percect for a "bump and run". It's so low, it can pick up the rear tires of the car in front so easily

The rear nose isn't as effective😋

I remember this race. And it’s the only race I ever wanted it to end fast. I just got NASCAR thunder 2003 that morning. Of course my dad got the TV for the race.

I actually have some of this race on tape but not the best quality.

The worst finish Jeff Gordon ever got at that track, and he was still running at the finish. Between this, Dover, Talladega, and Richmond, he could have had a claim to the 2002 title if it weren't for worse than awful luck.

How The Hell Did Fukuyama Compete In The Cup Series?
@evanwilliams64069 жыл бұрын
Tim Boggs He did it to try and get some Japanese flavor in the sport, Hideo just drove around and kept out of everyone's way, because he just wanted to be out there racing, that's it and not be in the way of his fellow competitors. Just a guy that loves to be out there racing, and being a competitive footnote.
