I just bought a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX for my new track car! I'll be autocrossing and tracking it, but first I have to figure out everything that's wrong with it and fix it up. In this video, I continue working on the suspension, and I replace the crappy short shifter with a stock one I bought off NASIOC.

Never been interested in cars, mostly in PC's and building them, only thing that I have about cars is just a racing wheel and a racing sim. This is one of the only channels I enjoy that deals with cars and probably started an interest in cars in general. Videos are great!

I had the same car, same bolts, same problem. Ended up buying a bernzomatic camping torch and heated each one for a few minutes. Still was a pain in the ass. I broke my breaker bar, and the 19mm lug wrench that came with the car.

It's great to see someone keeping that car alive and getting more smiles out of it. It looks like previous owners could have loved on it a bit more often. Long live Subaru's! Are you a fan of rally? I was in that young formative age when Subaru's were god like. They are less competitive nowadays, but still much respect is deserved.

A C5 or C6 (not ready yet), a 350z, a Mustang GT, a Mazda 2 (for autox), Fiesta ST, and another E36.

@@NeverEndingProjectGarage I've been lucky. I was able to get my wife and each a FiST when they came out. Hers was Kona blue and mine was Shadow black. We have both put about 35k miles over the 4+ years. They are so great! Sadly, Ford killed them off in the US. We bailed out a few months ago. I got a 16 STI low mileage and she got a new 19 WRX. I am now a happy Subaru guy. I do my own work and want to keep the Subaru's forever! The FiST performs great, as good as anyone would ever need. The STI is savage in all ways thrilling. The WRX isn't too far behind and the wife likes it softer. We had a large snowfall and they hadn't salted the roads!!! So, I got the STI out just to see what would happen. It has new summer tires, but did fine. Wont lie, it wasn't great, the job was however done. Her WRX had all seasons. I can tell the STI has front and rear locking diffs. Both Subaru's came out about the same despite the mentioned differences. Our FiST's wouldn't have left the driveway! SUBARU!!!!!!!

Why are you selling it again? The short shifter? I mean, if it changes gears faster?
@NeverEndingProjectGarage
@NeverEndingProjectGarage 5 жыл бұрын
Does it change gears faster? The throws don't feel significantly longer, and for me it's more comfortable to have the stock shifter height.

@@NeverEndingProjectGarage ok that's fair... I guess thats why on my list of mods for my RX8 the short shifter is dead last ☺️

How much you wanna sell that short shifter for?
@NeverEndingProjectGarage

How much do they go for? I honestly haven't looked yet. It's in fine shape but it's hardly in great condition or anything, so I'd sell it cheap.
