Thanks for making this video. The other content creators didn't show exactly where the part was, they just went straight to work and placed the camera underneath the car which was hard to tell where the part was located.

They're so cheap, OEM is the way to go. If a part is cheap OR if it is "mission-critical" OR a labor-intensive job (think head-gasket), then I go OEM.

Does the 3.0 engine have this solenoid? I can’t seem to look up a 3.0 version of this part. Great video btw!

The one for the 3.0 engine looks like its part number 15810-RAA-A03. Make sure you double check that last digit when looking for it. Thank you, and I’m glad this video was helpful!

Does it matter what level the oil is at before doing this ?

No I don't think so I think the biggest thing is to double check the level after. As you could see the oil level went down quite a bit.

Not that I’m aware of. But if your oil is low enough Vtec might not be engaging.
