2003-2007 7th gen Honda Accord front wheel bearing replacement

In this video, I'll show the steps to remove and replace the front wheel bearing from the knuckle using rental tools from the parts store and basic hand tools at home.

That's good to hear. I have an '06 Acura TL. I have 171,000 on it. I bought the car used so I changed the timing belt, and everything under that plastic timing cover. I had to since the crank position sensor was bad.

I was looking for a 6-6 accord just like this one but they are so hard to find, maybe one day I will get one

That's what I said in one of my videos. Saying an Accord is rare sounds silly until you search for a 6-6 and see how few there are for sale. I wish I could get the production numbers on them to see how many were made.

Really enjoyed the walkthrough of this repair. Out of curiosity, are any suspension components still factory original, or has everything down there been replaced at some point now?

I'm still on the original steering rack. Everything else steering and suspension wise has been replaced at least once. In the rear, these cars have suspension arms going every direction. The left rear suspension was all damaged in an accident at 241k and was all replaced. So there are a few arms on the right rear that are original. That's it.

once you hit a million, are you planning on replacing your windshield?

I wasn't making any plans for that. Should probably do it sometime, but I get so many rock chips going to work. My luck is that I'd crack a new one in a week or two.

Where is the abs tone ring located

I got a bearing from O'Reilly's that had the magnetic ring on both sides of the bearing so it could be installed either way. The OEM bearings have a black side and a brown side. I believe it was the brown side on that one IIRC.

Are you gonna take your other accords up to a million miles?

My wife doesn't drive many miles so the sedan doesn't get that many put on it. I'll start driving my 9th gen coupe more soon, but I'll only do deliveries in my 7th gen.

Probably if it was like mine there was too much tearing out hair and cursing...but then I am more used to working on vehicles built before 1972(front wheel bearings were $7 ea,one nut after wheel removed,pack them with grease and Bob was your uncle)
