Thanks for the video. Been meaning to check the wiring on my radio. Read in a forum a while back that there was some wiring issue with the unit which is why sometimes it doesn't work properly or the back light would stay on. I'm done half of the steps before when I installed a Blitz Aux system but atleast now I know how to take off the radio and check the wiring

Best way to find out is to find another unit and see if it replicate the same issue or not. Then you will know if it's the unit issue or the wiring harness to the radio

Thanks for the video, unfortunately even using similar pry tools and as carefully as possible, the dash was still damaged (smashed up and didn't spring back- which I can actually see evidence of in this video) and the shifter trim snapped in half in the middle. By that point I really regretted the damage, as nice as it is to have upgraded my system. Good luck to anyone doing this and trying to keep things looking new in the process...

Very nicely done with excellent camera position. A battery powered screwdriver makes the job more efficient. Question: Does replacing the car stereo restore a "dead" display? This is apparently a common problem in this generation of Accords.

As long as the wire harness fits onto the 6 cd disc plug and play. I haven’t done one myself so I can’t tell. What’s the unit link?
