2003-2008 Dodge 2500-3500 BORGESON 951 steering shaft INSTALL

Its no secret that all these DODGES in the world are bound to develop some sloppy steering at some point or another....with that being said here is a very HELPFUL install video showing you guys how to fix it!!!

I have replaced far more difficult parts before, but you made it look pretty simple. Even if other people had a problem with some petty stuff. All I can say is thank you, because I will fly through this process. 👌👌👌👌

On the side inside the cab. oe style is a pinch bolt. So should you drill a hole for the set screw to ride in?

You just drilled a hole for the set screw, instead of a slot?

The reason I decided against the Borgenson. I don’t trust my family and my life to a single set screw. Seems like really bad engineering on an otherwise very stout replacement device. I would imagine the non-clamp design was a patent issue.

Wally G agree 100%. Mine just stripped out, looking into one, but decided against it. Doesn’t even look like it slides into the input shaft of the gear box all the way.

Amazons got a EXACT shaft for 65. Identical too the borgenson. Betcha thats who they buy from and rebrand it.

The set screw design is NUTS! in a passenger vehicle. Borgeson should have included a splined pinch bolt adaptor on one end and a rectangle shaft on the other. Patent workaround, problem solved

It is also a spline on the end of the steering box not a gear.

It's not half inch, it is 13 mm.
