Kurts recovery in this race is phenomenal. For a bit of context: Interview was a result of the Red Flag for rain on lap 39/325. The damage sucked but the redflag/delay til the next day gave them a chance to examine and strategize, as well as Raines who pitted at the same time. Kurt was p6 when he came in and came out P40. When he pitted, Tony was around P35 and came out P41. The quick crash on the restart was a scare tho AHH, but it bumped em up with freshies to the low 20’s. Kurt would go on to finish a miraculous P8, and Raines for his part recovered brilliantly to P18 for little underdog BACE Motorsports.

This and the 2005 Pepsi 400 were probably the best examples of entertaining rain-delay time-killing.

I could not see this one because I had school, but I knew the result. I loved the intro to this one as well, I really miss Atlanta being the final race, there was a lot of great racing there when it was before the dogleg was added.
