I used to have a 2001 Sable LS Premium in silver with light grey leather interior, sunroof, duratec Mach audio system ect. That was a nice car and was very fast for what it was! Was originally bought off a lease by my Dad in 2004. At that time he gave me his 96 Taurus LX which was very similarly styled car. Both were silver and loaded cars. The Sable was traded in for a 2010 Fusion Sport also silver and has the 3.5 DOHC Cyclone basically a SHO Jr. You should build a Fusion derby car next with that beast of an engine

I'm curious to see how the trunk did. But the car looked awesome with the way you sit it up.

I love the truck set up I think you should notch it a bit deeper on the frame because it will go up at the notch it’s gonna plow where the rear towers end but if you nice it closest to the towers

Never ran a taurus but that is similar to how I set up the rear ends of my cars and they always go in and not down so I'm curious to see how it turns in your case.

I have long aspired to build a derby car but I have somewhat of a sensitive neck and I'm scared of getting hurt in the ring. Any advice? My biggest concern is back and neck injury.

You should always have a neck brace when racing, and add a big cushion behind the seat like we do will save your back. Next step is staying away from heavy build or welding classes. Simple stock events will be softer cars and less abuse to the body.

You could have adjusted the tie rod to counteract the control arm and have straight steering
